August Favourites 2017

Hi chappes,

The end of August already - gone so quickly. Saying that this year on the whole has gone quite quickly. But as it's the end of the month - it's time for my monthly favourites.

Beauty Favourites

The Tanya Burr Paradise Eye Palette has been a great travelling palette this month. Gorgeous shades and great pigmentation.

I have loved the L'Oreal Lash Paradise Mascara this month - it adds intense volume and lengthen lashes. Perfect for everyday as well as more dramatic lashes.

As I burnt my lips on holiday Palmer's Cocoa Butter Lip Balm has been a life saver.

Other Favourites

Made In Chelsea Ibiza - MIC is one of my favourite TV shows and this summer series is so good.

Beauty and the Beast film - I watched this on the plane to my holiday and I love it!

Malawi, Africa - My holiday was my main favourite of this month. One of the best 2 weeks EVER!!

Whats In My Travel Bag 2017

As it is holiday season - I wanted to share what I have in my travel /carry on bag. Personally I love reading this posts and find them so useful.

I prefer taking a backpack as you can probably fit some stuff in it as well as your hands are free for holding your passport, boarding pass etc. I use a Topshop Large PU Backpack (which unfortunately it is sold out) - but its a nice size with a few pockets and it goes with basically all outfits.

A few beauty products are also essentials for me - a mini deodorant, mini spray, mini moisturiser (I put some of my favourite Zoella body cream in a travel pot) as well as a hand sanitiser, makeup wipes (especially if it an overnight flight) , a Collection concealer and  a mini mascara. 

Incase I want to sleep on the plane I take an eye mask - the one I ue was free with the L'oreal Miss Baby Roll mascara, It's gorgeous and pink with lashes. 

I also put some Extra gum to help with taking off and landing. 

I always have my phone with headphones to listen to my music as well  as having my own headphones for the entertainment screens.

Such incase I don't want to watch anything, I will bring a book - I'm taking Carrie's book 'On the Other Side'.

L'Oreal Paradise Mascara

Some of you probably know that I'm love trying new mascaras so when L'Oreal said that they were releasing a new mascara I had to try it.

The packaging is so pretty - a lovely rose gold / pink colour - which is my favourite colours at the moment. It also means it stands out in my collection.

The mascara promises that it adds intense volume and lengthen lashes. And it definitely does - its a gorgeous mascara great for everyday as well as more dramatic looks. I do like more dramatic mascara as I wear eyeliner so I would like people to see my eyelashes too. 

At the moment I'm loving researching into some of the added ingredients in makeup and this mascara wand is infused with Ricinus / Castor Seed Oil which is effective at growing and thickening your lashes. This oil is in many high end mascaras e.g. Bobby Brown mascara but not many drugstore. So this oil makes it stand out with other mascaras.

Its suppose to be a dupe for the Too Faced Better than Sex Mascara - I can't comment as I have never tried the Too Faced Mascara. But it is a gorgeous mascara - the wand does look very similar from pictures I have seen.

I would highly recommend this mascara and it is definitely one my top mascara list.

My Summer Makeup Look 2017 | Rose Gold Eye Look

Today I wanted to share 'My Summer Makeup Look 2017' which is a bronzed highlighted skin, rose gold eyes and a nude pink lip.

The products are use to create this look are:

Face 

To create a smooth hydrated base I start with the L'Oreal Hydra Genius Moisturiser. My favourite foundation at the moment is the Rimmel Lasting Finish Foundation, a lovely full coverage foundation which feel so light on the skin. To cover any decolorisation and blemishes I love the Collection Lasting Perfect Concealer. To set my face I use the Rimmel Stay Matte Powder to keep my makeup on all day. 

Summer to me means a bronzed skin so I love Benefit Hoola Lite Bronzer on the cheeks to contour as well as bronzing. 

To add some glow back to the skin, I add Tanya Burr 'Forever Summer' Highlighter to the top of my cheekbones. And it does bring the whole face makeup together.

Brows

To fill in my brows I use the Tanya Burr Perfect Brow Palette to create the shape. Lovely pigmented palette - great for travel too.

The Benefit Ready Steady Brow Gel keeps the brows in shape all day.

Eyes

 As a eye base I use the Elf Aqua Rose Gold Liquid Eyeshadow which is a lovely pigmented glitter shade. And is a great base for the eyeshadows. I love the  Tanya Burr 'My Paradise' Eyeshadow Palette as its full of rose gold toned eyeshadows. To create this rose gold eye I use 'Champagne Cocktail' on the lid and 'Hammock' in the crease. I always have a winged eyeliner and my top choice at the moment is the Soap and Glory Supercat Eyeliner. To create a thin line along the lash line and a small wing. My favourite mascara is the  Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara to most probably isn't a surprise as I have mentioned it quite a lot of my blog. I do love the additional of a nude pencil on the water liner - I use the Rimmel Scandaleyes Nude Kohl Pencil.

Finally as my inner corner highlight I use the KIKO Smart Eyeshadow 01, which is very pigmented and I believe brings the look together.

Lips

As I want my lipstick to apply nicely I use the Maybelline Baby Lips Lip Balm to moisturise my lips. To make my lips look slightly fuller  I use the Helen E Lip Liner which unfortunately doesn't seem to have a shade name on it. But its a liner very close to my actually lip shade. To finish off the look I use the Mac Brave Lipstick as its a gorgeous colour and long lasting.

It does look like a lot of products - well I guess it is. But it does create a lovely summer look with bronzy highlighted skin with rose gold eyes, which is both very popular this season.
