3 Beauty Brands That I'm Loyal To

I do love to try new brands for makeup and skincare, however, I do have brands that I trust and know that the products would be good. In this post, I wanted to share my go-to skincare brand, drugstore makeup brand and high-end makeup brand.

Skincare: Nivea

Probably not much of a surprise, Nivea has been my go-to skincare brand for a while. Probably as my Mum used it so I just started to use it too. At the moment my day and night cream is Nivea, but I have tried their cleansers, micellar water and toners.
It's also nice that it's affordable as well, and pick it up at the local boots.

Drugstore Makeup Brand: Rimmel

Rimmel was my first makeup brand, that started my obsession with makeup and beauty. Rimmel is one of those brands that I go to if I'm looking for a product in a rush or if I need a certain shade of lipstick or eyeshadow. At the moment the Rimmel match perfection foundation, brow palette and eyeliner are in my everyday makeup looks. But I also love their lipstick formulations and shades, the stay matte powder and bronzer.

High-End Makeup Brand: Charlotte Tilbury

For the days I want to treat myself with new makeup, with gorgeous packaging and lovely formulation Charlotte Tilbury is my first go to! Their lipsticks are stunning, I own 3 of them and love them all and are longlasting. I also own the Pillowtalk liner to go with them which has a lovely creamy formulation. I have also tried the magic foundation, concealer, perfume and mascara - all so good!!

Hope you like this post and have a lovely day,

Please comment on your beauty brands that you are loyal to.

Quick and Easy Gym Makeup 2019

Hope you are all having a lovely Bank holiday! Today I have had a fairly relaxing day apart from doing a circuits class this morning at the gym and now I ache so much haha!  Unfortunately, I'm a gal who always has to make up when I leave the house so this is my quick and easy gym makeup.

Skincare

A good place to start in skincare, my two go-to products for a makeup base is the Nivea Q10 Face Cream and Neutrogena Hydro Booster Serum. The mixture of the two products creates a lovely hydrating base which smoothes the skin. As well as creating a gorgeous makeup base, making my foundation sit nicely.  It also adds a lovely glow to the skin!

Makeup

I try not to add not that much makeup, just the essentials to cover any discolourations and shape to the face.

I feel a bit bare without brows, therefore, I use the Rimmel Brow Palette to fill them in and shape them. The palette has a powder and a wax which you can mix together to create your right shade. For once I use the tools which are actually in the palette; the spoolie to shape and the angled brush to fill.

For a quick base which hides my skin redness is the Revolution Cover and Concealer Concealer. The full coverage formulation creates a quick base which can cover any discolourations with only a small amount. Literally with a small amount can create a full face coverage.

To set the concealer and add a bit of bronzer I use my trusty NYX Contour and Highlight Palette which has hit pan quite badly hahaha! I also use a bit of bronzer on my eyes to add a bit of colour as well as adding shape back into my face. I don't any mascara to prevent panda eyes or transfer.

Hope you like this post and have a great day!

Please comment if you wear makeup to the gym.

Neutrogena Hydro Boost Supercharged Booster

Happy Wednesday! Neutrogena has been another brand that I wanted to try for a while, but for some reason never tried! Until I picked up the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Supercharged Booster a few weeks ago; as a hydrating serum to my summer skincare routine.

To start with the packaging is lovely; with its being blue it definitely stands out in my collection. The microbeads also make the hydration booster look more intriguing. The quality packaging makes the product feel expensive and luxurious. The bottle is also fairly big for a serum therefore hopefully will last a while. The price is also quite nice for the booster is around £14.99, technically at the moment, the serum is half price at £7.99.

The formulation of this is lovely and refreshing on the skin; its infused with Hyaluronic Acid. And the little microbead contains antioxidant and revitalising vitamin E. When the serum is pumped the microbead burst to release the Vitamin E into the serum.

I usually pump 2 drops into my moisturiser day and night as part of my skincare routine. In the morning it's so refreshing especially when I'm tired and also makes my foundation sits nicely on the skin.
Applying the serum at night makes my skin feel also refreshed and clean before bed. Since using the Hydro Booster serum I have seen a change in my skin; feeling softer also fewer blemishes which I'm not sure if it's due to the serum but that's the only thing I have changed recently haha.
The hydrating booster also adds a lovely glow to the skin which is lovely for upcoming warmer summer months.

I honestly love this product and I would love to try more of the Neutrogena hydro boost range.
Hope you like this post and please comment on your favourite serum.

Fenty Beauty Bomb Baby Set

Happy Monday! Fenty has been a brand that I've wanted to try for a while, at first I didn't try it because of custom charges, then there was too much chose haha! But then Boots announced they were selling Fenty, and I was like YAS as they do student discount ;) Then I came across the  Fenty Beauty Bomb Baby Set, which I thought was a great opportunity to try some of their products.

 Killawatt Highlighter in "Hu$tla Baby"

The set contains the "Hu$tla Baby" which is a gorgeous peachy champagne shimmer, then I first saw it I was slightly wary on whether it wouldn't match my skin tone. However, it looks lovely on the skin, a little goes a long way. It looks gorgeous goldeneye and a bronzy look. A swipe of highlighter on the cheekbones, on the brow bone and the top of the lips, to complete the look.
The packaging is octagonal which makes unique in my collection and the cute mirror is great for travel. The imprint of the FB on the top is a lovely touch.

Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizer

I do love a gloss in spring/summer which has been shown in some of my latest posts. The gloss is a lovely shimmering rose nude shade, which is like my lips but better sort of shade. It looks stunning on the lips, and the formulation isn't sticky which is great. Especially on the occasion for when I have my hair down.
The packaging is lovely also and as it's a smaller size it's great for travel. Therefore perfect for my holiday in the upcoming months.
I also love the fact that it's supposed to be universal so great for every skin tone and therefore great for everyone!!

I'm so glad I picked up this set, and I can't wait to try more Fenty Beauty products in the near future. And I love that the set only costs £19.

Hope you like this post and please comment on whether you've tried Fenty Beauty?

Spring Makeup Favourites 2019

Happy Monday! Hope you had a lovely weekend and enjoying the slightly warmer British weather.   I do love spring/summer makeup; as exams are next week I never got round to writing my April Favourites. So I thought why don't combine my April and May beauty favourites together. To write a post on my 'Spring Makeup Favourites'

As I have green eyes, I prefer warmer shades on my lids, so Morphe 35O2 Palette is the perfect palette for me. As the palette has a range of warm shades; browns, red, glitters and mattes. Perfect for all occasions. As the name suggests there 35 shades, and it's great that they are all different shades as well as all pigmented.

I do love long fluttery lashes in spring/summer; a mascara that lengthens, adds volume but not clumpy is a must for me. Recently I purchased the mini version of the Tarte Light, Camera, Lashes Mascara and I LOVE IT!!!!! To start with the packaging is lovely and the formulation is even better. It's also a buildable formulation; therefore can be great for every day as well as nights out.

I do love a swipe of highlighter on my cheekbones, as well as some in my inner corners and eye brow. And my go-to is the Zoella x Colourpop Swipe Right Highlighter; as you can tell my already hitting pan in the middle it does get well used. The slight pink tone compliments my skin tone, and it adds a lovely pop of glow the skin.

I do love a good lip combo, at the moment its the Charlotte Tilbury Pillowtalk Lip Cheat Liner and NYX Butter Gloss in Tiramisu. The lip liner is lovely and a gorgeous shade which goes with about 90% of my lipstick collection. The lip liner also really helps plumps the lips; you can use the liner just for an outline or all over the lips. The lip gloss is gorgeous! My perfect nude gloss which adds a pink tint to your lips. But the formation is also lovely and moisturising.

Hope you like this post and have a lovely week!

Please comment on your favourite from the past month or so...

My New Favourite Spring Lipgloss: NYX Butter Gloss in Tiramisu

I do love a good gloss in spring, a golden eye with a pinky gloss is one of my go-to looks.  NYX is one of my favourite drugstore brands, the products are affordable and good quality. The lip products are some of my favourites; including the Lip Lingeries and the Soft Matte lips. So I wanted to try one of there glosses and the shade Tiramisu is such a me shade and one of my favourite desserts ;)

To start with the packaging, it's quite similar to the soft matte creams. A small compact tube, with a lip applicator. As the lipgloss is fairly small is easy to travel with and fits into my lipstick holder. The shade of the lipstick is represented in the packaging.

The formulation is lovely, the formulation isn't sticky at all which is a nice change for a gloss. As the tube suggests its a 'butter gloss' and it applies really nicely onto the lips. The formulation also doesn't cling to any dry patches on your lips. So is a bit like a two in one! It adds colour to the lips as well as moisturises.

The lip gloss is a very 'my lips but better' sort of shade. It's a pinky brown nude on my pale skin nude, but one other skin tones the shade may differ. As the shade is a nude pinky brown shade it's so easy to apply, but also can have buildable coverage.
The shade is a natural nude shade it can go with a range of my makeup looks; smokey eyes, golden eyes etc. And will definitely be wearing a lot over the upcoming months.

I love this shade and will be wearing this a lot over the sunnier warmer months.

Hope you like this post, please comment on your favourite glosses.
