June Favourites 2018

As it's coming up to the end of June - it's time for my June Favourites. This month has quite full on with school but I rediscovered old products as well as trying new ones.

Beauty Favourites

One of my go-to lipglosses for the spring/summer season Tanya Burr Cosmetics in 'Lunch Date'. Gorgeous pale pink shade which goes with most makeup look.

A good moisturiser is a must for me in the summer especially during the 'heat wave' we are having in the Uk. So the Simple Moisturisers   have been a must have: using the green lid day cream which has SPF which helps prevent sunburn which is great for a very pale person like me who burns easily. Then the blue lid night cream at the end of the day as its really moisturising especially after a long day.

Lip balm is also another must for me during the summer as my lips tend to get quite dry so I've been loving the Soap and Glory Lip Balm. Lovely formulation and packaging.

I do love trying new mascaras and I been loving the Benefit Bad Gal BANG! Mascara. Adds so much length and volume and has been great at creating for events as the formulation is long lasting.

A lipstick that I bought and been loving this month is the L'Oreal Colour Shine 068 Lipstick. Gorgeous shade - perfect for the summer and with a moisturising, hydrating formulation.

Other Favourites

I was lucky enough to attend one of Ed Sheeran's concert this month. It was AMAZING and the support acts were so good also I love Anne Marie's music.

Two of my favourite programmes started again this month Love Island and Our Girl. To be honest, this season of Love Island hasn't been my favourites but I still love and I love the Austrilian one too. Hopefully, the Uk will become more interesting soon!!

I'm a big fan of Our Girl - I don't know how many times I've rewatched the past series as well as the current. I just love it!!

Hope you like this post and have had a lovely June.

L'Oreal Colour Shine 658 Lipstick

In my most recent blog posts, I've been mentioning the L'Oreal Colour Shine 658 Lipstick which I been trying and loving the past few weeks. I love the formulation of the YSL Rouge Volupte lipsticks and I've been trying to find a good, affordable dupe and I think I have fonud one.

Personally I quite like the packaging being crystal-cut inspired with the traditional L'Oreal gold band and silver details. As it's clear - the lipstick sticks out in your collection.

The formulation is lovely - hydrating with pigment. The lipstick has an oil infused formula meaning it applies really nicely as well as hydrates. The shape of the lipstick does remind me of the YSL one. The formulation is like a treatment, balm, lipstick and lip gloss in one which personally I quite like as its multi-purpose. I also like it looks like a lip gloss without the sticky feel or your hair is going to stick :)

The shade I chose was 658 or 'Topless' which is a lovely pink tinted nude (the only lipstick shade I really buy). This shade is perfect for the summer months as it's lightweight. The longevity isn't as good as a matte lip or satin finish but it lasts more than a gloss.

So if you are looking for a long lasting lipstick this isn't really one of them but it has a gorgeous shine formulation and pigmentation - which is perfect for the summer months. And if you are looking for a YSL Rouge Volupte dupe this is perfect.

I hope you like this post and have a lovely day!

4 Makeup Brands I Would Love To Try

One of my favourite things as a beauty addict/blogger is to look at new makeup and new makeup brands. There is a lot of gorgeous makeup out there: some expensive - some affordable etc. I recently read a post from one of my favourite blogs Pint Sized Beauty - she shared 3 brands she wanted to try. I loved this idea so I wanted to share 3 brands I would love to try over the next few months...

Hourglass

Over the past few years, the Hourglass Ambience Powders have become very popular especially on Youtube and blogging. The powders do look lovely and the packaging is gorgeous. Recently the foundations have also become quite popular.

Marc Jacobs

I’ve been looking at Marc Jacobs for quite a while - especially the bronzers and eyeshadow palettes. The palettes have a gorgeous array of shades especially the latest summer collection.

Giorgio Armani

I have heard a lot of amazing reviews on the Armani foundations especially the luminous silk or the power fabric. Two of my favourite YouTubers: InTheFrow and Lydia Elise Millen mention their products quite a lot and they all look amazing!

Becca Cosmetics

Becca Cosmetics seems to be the queen highlighter brand, for example, Champagne Pop, Prosecco Pop, Moonstone. They also seem to do lovely primers and foundation especially recently with the colour correcting primers.

I hope you like this post and hope you have a lovely day!

Please follow and please comment if you have tried any of these brands and brands you would love to try.

My Past Week In Lipsticks #8

Lipsticks are one of my favourite things - I love trying new ones. I love writing these sort of posts - I believe this is #8. I do love wearing new lipsticks every day so I don't leave one out of my collection.

Wednesday -
One of my go-to lipstick is Tanya Burr 'Pink Cocoa' Lipstick - a lovely nude shade which goes with most eye looks.

Thursday -
I do love a pink gloss in warmer months as I recently I've been wearing more natural makeup so I quite like to change my lip shade. So I went for Tanya Burr 'Lunch Date' Lipgloss - more go-to lip gloss.

Friday -
One of my favourite lipsticks is Charlotte Tilbury 'English Beauty' Lipstick - gorgeous shade, formulation and pigmentation. And the packaging is stunning also!

Saturday -
I've previously mentioned in my last post that I've been using Essence Natural Beauty Lipstick a lot this past month. It is a lovely shade for a natural my-lips-but-better look.

Sunday -
Rimmel Kate Moss 03 lovely nude lipstick which is perfect for every day. I wore a soft brown smokey with the On and One Bronze Maybelline Colour Tattoo so I thought this lip when nicely with it.

Monday -
After an exam, I picked up one of the new L'Oreal lipstick - L'Oreal Colour Shine in 658 (a bit of YSL Rouge Volupte dupe). A gorgeous formulation which is lovely for the summer months and lovely pink nude shade.

Tuesday -
Pink is my favourite colour and Sleek Matte Me 'Shabby Chic' Lipstick is a lovely pink shade. More a darker pink shade and I do love the formulation as it isn't that drying.

The swatches do show I love a pink lipstick shade - varying from light pink - dark pink. And the lipsticks also has a variety of finishes gloss - matte.

Hope you have a lovely day!

What's In My June Makeup Bag 2018

This month I've been wearing less makeup as its been exams session, to be honest, I don't have the energy to wear a full face. So I reach for products for an easy makeup look.

Face

I'm a full coverage foundation sort of girl - so I wanted a coverage foundation which lasts all day which is great especially when travelling; so I went for the Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation; lovely coverage and formulation, and I usually I apply a small on a concealer brush and apply under my eyes and shape my brow.

To set my face I use the Insta Matte Powder to keep everything in place and mattify my face. I need to buy a new pone as my one is quite broken and smashed. Bronzer is a must for me as I have quite a big round face as I need to add some structure. I'm also pale so bronzer makes me look alive so a must have - the one I reach for Rimmel Natural Bronzer

Then for highlight, I use Seventeen Pink Shimmer Brick on my cheekbones as well as on my brow bone and inner corners.

 Eyes and Brows

For brows I use my trusty Tanya Burr Cosmetic Perfect Brow Palette, this is an amazing palette for beginners in brows. I use the small angled brush in the palette to mix the shades 'Pebble' and 'Hot Cocoa' which seems to be my perfect brow shade. I start with the arch and the tip so it's more defined. Then with the leftover product on my brush, I do the front of my brow - for more of an ombre brow look.

For eyes I use Elf 'Rose Gold' Liquid Eyeshadow a lovely rose gold shade. This all over the lid with bronzer (Rimmel Natural Bronzer) in the crease is an easy everyday summer look. For lashes, I use the L'Oreal Miss Baby Roll Mascara - lovely mascara, formulation gives long voluminous lashes for every day. As well as curls them to makes me look more awake.

Lips
To start with the Soap and Glory Smooch Operator Lip Balm - which annoyingly has been discontinued (only just found that out!). But the formulation is really nice and the packaging.
An easy moisturising lip with a slight pink colour is perfect for me over the summer months. So I've been reaching for the Essence Longlasting Lipstick in 07 Natural Beauty - lovely formulation and pigmentation and affordable.

Hope you like this post!

Hope you have a lovely week!

Benefit Bad Gal Bang! Mascara

I do love a Benefit mascara and a mini - so when I found out there were Benefit mascara minis is this month Elle Magazine I had to pick one up. I thought it was a great opportunity to try the latest mascara - Bad Gal Bang!

I love trying new mascaras , and I heard a lot of good things about this mascara as well as seeing the massive press release with youtubers/bloggers going to places like Maldives which looked AMAZING!!
To start with the packaging is lovely and I love the pink writing on the classic black background.

Peronsally I quite long lashes with a lot of volume and length, and the slim brush allows to reach corner to corner which is really nice. I do find the formual is runnier than usual so it did smudge slightly - probbaly it didnt help I sneezed (haha!!). The formulation also contains provitamin B5 which is known to fuel thickness & strength. I do think it creates false lashes effect which personally I love (as I cant apply lashes) but love the look.

The formulation is long lasting as well as, it doesnt flake throughout the day.

Overall I'm really impressed with this mascara - I will defintely buy the full version when this mini runs out, as I really like the formulation and pimgentation. But the mini will be perfect for travelling this summer.

Hope you like this post, please follow and please comment if you have tried this mascara!

Trying Simple Moisturisers

Guess who's back!! Thank you for your patience over the past 2 weeks with me not posting due to exams. I haven't yet finished but I have a little break so I wanted to write a blog post. I love trying new skincare products and to be honest I try to use the brands I've heard of and are on special offer! So recently I picked up a Simple day cream and night cream to try.

Simple philosophy is always about being kind to skin and I love its nice to sensitive skin also. As my skin can be quite sensitive and sometimes reacts with new products.

Simple Kind to Skin Vital Vitamin Day Cream

I do love a refreshing moisturier in the morning - it wakes me up. The pot is also quite nice and clean - I feel like a potted cream lasts longer than a tube. This moisturier contains Pro-Vitamin B3, Vitamin E, Vitamin A, Glycerin and Bisabolol, helps to keep skin moisturised and replenished. The formulation also contains SFP 15 which is great every day to prevent sun damage. It also creates a nice base for makeup too.

Simple Water Boost Skin Quench Sleeping Cream

Usually, at night, I prefer a richer moisturiser but this lightweight moisturiser is made with plant extract and skin-essential minerals. So I believe it gives the same moisture as a rich moisturiser but in a more lightweight feel - which I quite like. This cream helps to reverse the 5 early symptoms of dehydration: dryness, roughness, feelings of tightness, dullness and dry dehydration lines; to leave skin revitalized, supple and dewy fresh. As I've been only trying this more 3 weeks - I haven't seen the long-term effects but I have seen a change in the texture of my skin. It's much more dehydrated and less dry patches.

Overall I love these Simple Moisturises - lovely formulation and so afforable too.

Hope you like this post, please follow and comment your favourite moisturisers.

May Favourites 2018

As it's the first of June this means its time for my May favourites, beauty as well as other. I can't believe its already June which also means my built of exams start in 4 days which I'm quite scary- which is a reason why there wasn't a post on Wednesday.

Beauty Favourites

I love trying new fragances and I'm been loving the CT Scent of Magic Perfume. I only own the sample bottle from other CT purchases - it smells so good! I'm definitely going to get a full bottle when I have some money ;)

On my makeup lifesavers is Urban Decay All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray as its so versatile - I love to apply pigments with it as well as setting my makeup, as well as makes my skin look flawless.

My go-to eyeshadow at the moment is Elf 'Rose Gold' Liquid Eyeshadow a lovely rose gold shade. This all over the lid with bronzer in the crease is an easy summer look.

Sometimes I love a bit of glitter so this month I've loved MAC Pigment in Whisper Pink which is soft beigey pink with pearl.  The shade is AMAZING - they are pigmented and great formulations. To get the maximum pay off I spray UD setting spray on my eyeshadow brush and pat it on the lid.
I love a pink eye and looks gorgeous all over the lid.

I love a lipgloss in the spring/summer month and my go-to is the Tanya Burr Cosmetis Lipgloss in Lunch Date. Pretty pink shade, easy shade to wear and quite long wearing lipgloss.

Wonderland Studio Primer creates a great base for my foundation as it makes your skin feel really smooth. I have noticed the longevity of my foundation when I use this primer, it's stayed longer especially on areas when sometimes my makeup goes come off during the day so my chin and sometimes the tip of my nose.

A weird favourite is the Dove Floral Fresh deodorant - I do love a nice smelling deodorant which works well too! And the packaging is cute as well.

Other Favourites

The Royal Wedding was a highlight of this month - my mum and I watched the whole things. Her dress was gorgoeus! So I've been loving reading the Hello and Ok! magazines with all the pretty pictures.

Some of my other favourites are mentioned in my previous post: My May Media Favourites

Hope you like this post and hope you all had a lovely day!!
