Makeup Look For £25

I do love to try makeup challenges - so I wanted to try the £25 makeup challenge. I dont know if this is cheating but there was a deal on Rimmel Products in Superdrug.

Total: £22.98

To be honest these makeup products create a simple minimal look.

The one great thing about bronzer is its so multi purpose - brows, eyeshadow and contour. So the Natural Bronzer is great so as usual I start with the brows. As well as a crease shade to define my eye shape.

For the mascara I went for my fave the Maybelline Lash Sensational Luscious Mascara which adds volume and length. For everyday lash as well as more dramatic.

The Match Perfection Foundation is a lovely meduim coverage foundation. I might have actually found my perfect drugstore shade - Rimmel 081 - Fair Ivory which surprisely isnt the lightest shade in the range (I'm so happy that Rimmel have created a greater shade range!)

To set my foundation I use the Stay Matte Setting Powder - it sets the face nicely. And makes your foundation last too! Then to finish look I contour with the natural bronzer.

Overall I'm really proud with my makeup look for £25. Please comment what products you would buy with £25.

Hope you like this post! Hope you have a lovely day!

Makeup Declutter Spring 2018

I love watching makeup declutter videos and posts. And as its traditional in spring to do a 'Spring clean', so I thought it's perfect timing to sort through my makeup collection.
Throw away some old makeup and sorting out the stuff I hate, never use, and just stuff I wanna get rid of.

Expired/Odd

It's very rare that I finish up makeup as I like to rotate through everything I have, eventually sometime makeup get to its expiry, and when that happens it’s time to go.

I always forget the expiry dates of makeup but these are the ones I go by:
  • Mascara – 3 months.
  • Liquid Foundation and Concealer – 6 to 12 months.
  • Cream Blush and Eyeshadow – 6 to 12 months.
  • Powder Blush and Eyeshadow – 1 year.
  • Eyeliner and Lipliner Pencils – Up to 2 years.
  • Liquid Eyeliner – 6 months or less.
  • Lipstick – 1 year.
  • Moisturizers and Skin Care – 1 to 2 years.

Unused/ Dislike

I love trying new makeup products but that does lead to products I don't use or don't really like. Whether the formulation isn't great, too orange for my ghostly skin or liquids I'm not uncomfortable to wear. As well as some products I don't use as much as  have a similar one that I prefer or products that sit in my drawers (which means more room for new products)

Empties

I don't why this happens but it happens often - I keep empty products in my collection. Sometimes to remind me to buy another one or forget they run out. But the empties do show that I love the product.

I hope you like this post and please comment if you like declutter posts and videos.

Hope you have a lovely day and weekend!

My Past Week In Lipsticks #7

Happy Monday! Hope you all had a lovely weekend. Today I wanted to share my past week in lipsticks as I love writing these posts. And it definitely shows what lipsticks I've been enjoying recently.

Monday

Even though it was the last day of my Easter holidays I still had to go to school for a mock. So I went for a quick and easy makeup look - so went for MAC Patisserie Lipstick a gorgeous nude.

Tuesday

As it was the first proper day back after Easter (unfortunately) I wanted to take a bit longer doing my makeup. With a winged eyeliner a brown smokey eye and a slightly darker pink lip. So I went with the Sleek Shabby Chic Matte Me Lipstick - the longevity is amazing and the formulation isn't drying.

Wednesday

Another Wednesday, another pink lipstick, therefore, I chose  Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lipstick in 'Crush'- lovely formulation and a gorgeous colour. And it also makes me feel more summery.

Thursday

It was the first nice sunny day in the Uk so I fancied a glossy sheer lipstick which is gorgeous spring lipstick - YSL Rouge Volupte 047 Lipstick. Gorgeous pink lipstick and the packaging is beautiful!

Friday

I fancied a brown smokey eye - a nude lip is a great pairing for it. So I applied a sheer lipstick - so I went for the Soap and Glory Gloss Stick in Nudist. Easy neutral lipstick which tints your lips

Saturday

Another sunny day in the UK meant another gorgeous pink spring lipstick - Charlotte Tilbury Kidman KissAs it's a slightly brighter shade I paired it with a natural eye with a winged eyeliner.

Sunday

I've been recently going through my makeup drawers and decluttering any old products or finding products I haven't worn for a while. One lipstick that I rediscovered is Rimmel Kate Moss 03 Lipstick - lovely nude lipstick which is perfect for every day.

Hope you like this post and like this sort of post.

My 5 Favourite Makeup Brands

There are so many makeup brands out there a range of pricing so I wanted to share 5 brands - a mixture of drugstore and high end that I love.

Drugstore

My favourite drugstore brand for face products and lipsticks is Rimmel - I love their foundations, powders and bronzers. And their Kate Moss lipsticks are gorgeous - lovely pigmentation and formulation.

A brand that I do mention quite a few times on my blog is Tanya Burr Cosmetics - this is probably my favourite overall brand. As I love her eyes, face and lip products.

My go-to brand for eye products especially mascara and cream eyeshadows is Maybelline. The lash sensational range is amazing! It's definitely my go-to mascara especially for nights out. The cream eyeshadows are great bases as well as quick eye look.

High End

The first high-end brand I ever tried was Benefit and I love they do minis too meanly you can try the product at a lower price before investing if the full version. My favourite Benefit product is definitely Hoola Lite.

Probably one of my favourite brands is Charlotte Tilbury - the packaging, the formulation and pigmentation if I had the money I could literally buy EVERYTHING!!!

Hope you like this post and hope you have a lovely weekend.

Please comment your favourite brands and please follow.

My Current Haircare Routine April 2018

I don't usually write about haircare as I usually use the same products as I know they work. But also I don't use too many products as I have quite dry, frizzy hair so too many products make my hair HUGE!!

L'Oreal Elvive Extraordinary Coconut Oil Shampoo - Oil Shampoos are the only shampoos that use and try as it makes my hair really soft and nice. But this shampoo smells so GOOD as well as detangles my hair (which is great for curly hair people).

A recent must for me is Natural World Coconut Water Conditioner* - it makes my hair feel so soft and hydrated. Since using this conditioner I have seen a change in the condition of my hair. I've also had compliments from my friends on the look of my hair which is an added bonus.

A dry oil tames my hair so much - my fave is OGX Moroccan Argan Oil. Smells so good and tames my hair so well. It instantly nourishes and smoothes dry ends. As you can see from the photo I have already used over half a bottle and I have had it for over 6 months. I apply this after washing my hair and usually after styling.

I hope you like this post.

Please comment what products you like to use on your hair as I would love to know.

Hope you have a lovely day.

My Spring Makeup Menu 2018

I've discovered as well as rediscovered some really great products recently that have made their way into my makeup rotation, so today I'm going to talk you through the highlights of the everyday routine I've been going for over the past few weeks.

Brows

Annoyingly I forgot to add this to the photo! But most of you probably know that to fill in my brows I use the Tanya Burr Perfect Brow Palette to create the shape. Lovely pigmented palette - great for travel too. And the formulation keeps my brows in place all day. This is my consistent favourite brow palette and definitely need a new one soon as I've hit pan!

Eyes

As a eye base, I use the Maybelline Colour Tattoo in Creme Beige which is a lovely pigmented nude shade to cover as decolourisation on the lid. And is a great base for the eyeshadows.
My eyeshadow palette I reach for in the Urban Decay Naked Palette - gorgeous buildable pigmented shades. I use  Tanya Burr Selfie Flick Eyeliner, to create a thin line along the lash line and a small wing. For mascara, Maybelline Lash Sensational Luscious Mascara which is perfect for everyday as well as evening looks.

Face

My foundation combo at the moment is a mixture of the Rimmel Lasting Finish Foundation and Lancome BB Cream, a lovely coverage foundation which feel so light on the skin. To cover any decolourisation and blemishes I love the Collection Lasting Perfect Concealer. To set my face I use Rimmel Insta Fix and Matte Powder to keep my makeup on all day. TO bronze my skin I love Benefit Hoola Lite Bronzer on the cheeks to contour as well as bronze.
To add some glow back to the skin, I add TB Forever Summer Highlighter to the top of my cheekbones, my cupids-bow and tip of the nose.

Lips

I've mentioned this lipstick a few times recently - the Charlotte Tilbury Kidman Kiss. It's a gorgeous pink lipstick.

Hope you like this post.

I've Hit Pan! - April 2018

Today I wanted to share the products I have hit pan on as well as emptied this last month. As I love reading these sort of posts and the fact they are empty/hit pan shows that I love them and use them regularly.

There are 3 products in my makeup collection which was recently hit pan:

One of my fave bronzers - Benefit Hoola Lite. I'm so sad this has hit pan as it's my first high-end bronzer I ever bought - I have literally worn this every day since I got it. The shade is great for my ghostly pale skin and blendable.
It would be amazing if you can comment your favourite bronzer as I'm going to need a new one?

A palette I've written a lot about on my blog recently is Tanya Burr Cosmetics Brow palette - it's a great everyday brow palette. Easy to use, pigmented shades and great formulation.

And a rather smashed Rimmel Stay Matte powder (when I bought the powder down for the photo it smashed!). Rimmel powders are great - gorgeous finish and make your makeup last all day!

Hope you like this post and hope you have a lovely weekend.

Please comment if you have any empties.

My Top 5 Products From L'Oreal

L'Oreal is one of my favourite drugstore brands - lovely formulation and affordable. So I wanted to share my 5 favourite products - face, eyes, lips and hair.

Face

Personally, I love a full coverage foundation so I find the L'Oreal Infallible Total Cover Foundation amazing!! It creates a flawless, full coverage base it covers everything from blemishes, redness leaving a matte finish. So this is a foundation is best for an oily prone skin. The 30% more pigment formula allows for more coverage using less product.

Eyes

I do love trying new mascaras and L'Oreal have some gorgeous ones:

Miss Baby Roll Mascara is great for mega volume, curl and all-day hold. It makes my lashes look false - in a good way.
The brush is really interesting but it gets all your lashes.
It's also great that this mascara comes in a range of colours - I only had the original black but there are also ones with colour.
The packaging is really cute with the pastel pink and blue lid.

The gorgeous rose gold packaging mascara - Paradise Mascara adds intense volume and lengthen lashes. This mascara wand is infused with Ricinus / Castor Seed Oil which is effective at growing and thickening your lashes.

Lips

One of my loreal products and first lipstick was L'Oreal JLO Nude - gorgeous pink, brown nude lipstick with a sheen finish. It's my lips but better shade and moisturising on the lips too.

Hair

I have quite dry, thick frizzy hair so I love trying oil shampoos and there seems to tame it. So I love the L'Oreal Elvive Extraordinary Oil Shampoo as it smells amazing but the formulation makes my hair so soft and shiny.

Hope you like this post and hope you have a lovely day.

It would be amazing if you comment your favourite L'Oreal product.

What I've Been Watching, Doing and Listening To Lately April 2018

I swear this year is going very quickly - it's already April (how?!). It's going to a busy few months ahead with exams but today  I wanted to share with you what I've been watching, doing and listening to lately as I love reading these sorts of posts, as well as writing them.

Watching
I love watching TV series and show in the evening after doing revision and TV series I repeatedly watch are 'Our Girl' and 'Glee'. I own the first 2 series of 'Our Girl' and love them both (and need to purchase the 3rd series!). Our Girl is a military drama - the first series starred Lacey Turner and the second/third series starred Michelle Keegan.
I think I own every season of 'Glee' - it's a massive comfort Tv show for me. And also its always nice to have a good sing to a TV show.
I'm also a massive fan of Youtube, so I love watching Pointlessblog, Zoella, Tanya Burr, In the Frow, Louise Pentland and quite a lot more...

Doing
Well, the main thing I have been doing is revising for my A-levels (which are scaring close and stressing me out slightly). But I do love a bit of baking and cooking, especially in-between revision. And I do love the Bake-off so I do use this cookbook and lots of other. Also please comment your favourite recipe as I love trying new recipes.

Listening
I have been loving musicals CDs (you can tell I like musicals with these CDs and Glee ;)) At the moment I've been loving 'The Greatest Showman', 'When the Curtain Falls' and 'Leading Ladies'.
I still obsessed with The Greatest Showman - I've watched it multiple time and the cd literally on repeat for the last 4 months.
Carrie Hope Fletcher is one of my fave YouTubers and I've been to see her in Chitty and Addaams Family. So when she announced she was releasing an album 'When the Curtains Falls' - i was like yes buying that (well actually my sister bought it for me that's beside the point ;)) And the CD is a mixture of musical songs.
Leading Ladies is quite similar to Carrie's album as it has a range of musicals. But the harmonies on this album is AMAZING!!!
I would highly recommend these CDs to any musical lovers!

Hope you like this post.

Please comment what you've been Watching, Doing and Listening to lately as I'm would love to know.

Spring Makeup Picks 2018

Spring has finally sprung in the UK and this year it felt like we had a long wait for the season due to the unexpected snowfall! But now that the season has finally arrived, I'm looking forward to the brighter evenings, and more spring, summer makeup.

Face

My face makeup mainly stays the same during spring but I add more highlight - my top choice is Seventeen Shimmer Brick. Gorgeous highlighter and so cheap.

Eyes

All I wear in springtime is either a pink or gold eye

For an easy quick look, I use the Maybelline Colour Tattoo in Pink Gold - gorgeous shade. This can also create a lovely base for other eyeshadow, for example, 'Sin' or 'Toasted' from the Urban Decay Naked Palette. Another look I use 'Half Baked' and 'Smog' from the UD palette - all gorgeous pigmented and blendable shades.

Lips

I wear pink lipsticks all year round -literally all I wear tbh! But its spring I wither go for a brighter pink or a sheer, glossy pink lip. For a brighter pink lip (probably most of you know as I mentioned it recently) is Charlotte Tibury Kidman's Kiss. Gorgeous bright rosy pink - lovely formulation and pigmentation. For more a sheer pink lipstick the YSL Rouge Volupte Lipstick in 047. Lovely sheer production and add moisture to your lips. The packaging is really cute too!

Hope you like this post and hope you have a lovely weekend!

Please comment your spring makeup picks.

Relaxing Evening with Zoella Beauty

I haven't been feeling too well recently - I have had a cold and there's nothing better than a relaxing pamper evening to help me feel better. Zoella Beauty is one of my go-to pamper evening brand. So I wanted to share the products I use.

I do love a lovely bubbly hot bath when I'm ill and my favourite product for the bath is the Bath Latte Bath and Shower Milk. It smells so good and adds bubbles as well. The packaging also looks pretty on the side of the bath.

Candles are another must-have for relaxing evening and the Let it Glow candle is gorgeous! As the candle is quite small it fits really nicely on the edge of the bath. And as its the original scent it smells so good too.

My favourite shower gel at the moment is the Shower Shake Shower Gel - gorgeous scent and formulation. Makes your skin feel lovely and soft and the packaging is also really cute!

After a lovely bath, I do love a good moisturiser - Wonderous Whip Body Cream is really nice. The lightly whipped formula sinks into the skin really well and leaves your skin lovely and moisture!

Hope you like this post and hope you have a lovely day.

Please comment your go-to pamper evening brand and follow.
