May Media Faves Round Up

Today I wanted to do my 'May Media Faves Round-Up'; I have written similar posts in the past but I've been inspired by Emma Drury's blog! So in today's post, I want to share my favourite TV Show, Film, Album and an extra for me is Musicals.

Fave TV Show - Our Girl
Our Girl is one of my favourite TV shows, I've rewatched them all recently as the box set in on BBC iPlayer. I've watched each episode so many times. Another show I also love and continuous watch in Hollyoaks.

Fave Film - Pitch Perfect 3
I'm one of those people who watch films/shows on repeat whilst doing work. I love Pitch Perfect movies - they are so good, recently I have been watching and loving Pitch Perfect 3.

Fave Musicals - Les Miserables
I went to London in May and watched Les Mis in the west end and it was AMAZING!! The songs and acting were so good, soooo much better than the movie.

Fave Album - The Thrill Of It All, Sam Smith
I love Sam Smith music, his voice is amazing! My 2 favourite songs are 'Too Good At Goodbyes' and 'Pray'. I love having his songs in the background whilst working or cooking.

Hope you like this post and hope you have a lovely day.

Please follow and comment your favourite media things from this past month.

PMD Personal Microderm Review*

Over past few years, I’ve heard so many good things about PMD Personal Microderm, it’s has been voted ‘Best Beauty Buy’ by Instyle magazine for two years running. So when I was luckily contacted by the team at PMD, I was really looking forward to seeing what sort of results could be achieved.

The PMD Personal Microderm removes dead skin cells, improve skin appearance and to improve the skin's surface, tone and texture.  And claims that skin care products can penetrate 20X deeper maximizing the benefits of skin care.

Before testing out the device on my face there's a cute booklet of instruction and a DVD on how to use it and how to get the most out of the PMD. And firstly I tried it on my arm to see how it reacted with my skin as my skin is quite sensitive to new products/techniques.

Discs

The PMD has patented spinning discs embedded with aluminium oxide crystals exfoliate away dead, dull cells from the surface of the skin.

The set comes with 4 different types of disc:
- White Disc (practice/ultra sensitive skin)
- Grey Disc (very sensitive skin)
- Blue Disc (sensitive skin)
- Green Disc (medium strength abrasion)

All of these have a small disc for face and large disc for body use.  I started with the white disc for practice then every week I changed the disc to see if there are any changes.

The PMB has a vacuum suction is the power behind effective microdermabrasion. Suction helps increases circulation and triggers the skin’s natural healing process which boosts collagen and elastin leaving skin firm, fresh and radiant.

My Experience

I have been trying the PMD over the last month and loving it. As I've previously mentioned I've been increasing the abrasion by changing the discs. I have noticed that my skin has felt smoother and absorbed facial cream. As I'm only 18 I don't have too many fine lines, but I have noticed a decrease in frown lines on my forehead. My skin is also naturally combination so I do have some dry patches and I feel like this have helped.
I think a true test for a skin product is 'that time of the month' as you usually break out slightly and this helped decreased any breakouts.

Overall I love how this has helped my skin, and I love that I can do it at home. It does cost a lot of money at £135, which is quite a lot but I think it's really helped my skin.

Hope you like this post.

Please comment if you have tried the PMD and please follow.

Real Technique Miracle Complexion Sponge

I use the Real Technique Miracle Complexion Sponge on a daily basis and I've realised I don't mention it enough on my blog.

After watching many Nikkie Tutorial videos and annoyed at blending out brush strokes on my face. So instead of investing in the expensive Beauty blender, I've been using the complexion sponge for the last 4 + years and love it. I must have bought many over the years.

I use the sponge to apply foundation, concealer and sometime in bake powder under my eyes. So for me, it's a necessity in my makeup routine. As I love a full coverage base the sponge doesn't leave a cakey finish. One thing which would make it even better would be if it was slightly more spongy.

The sponge is also affordable around £5 - but I did get mine in their Easter multipack which makes it more affordable.  They are also really easy to wash/clean - just soap and water and I try and do it every few weeks (but that never really happens).

I recommend Real Technique brushes as a whole - gorgeous array of products for flawless coverage and blending.

Hope you like this post.

Please follow and comment if you use the Real Technique Miracle Complexion Sponge or any other sponge?!

Hope you have a lovely day.

Mid Year Beauty Favourites 2018

As its nearly half way through the year I wanted to share some of my favourite beauty products from the last few months.

This was a rediscovery the Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation has a lovely formulation and pigmetation and a great shade match!
I do love Rimmel for face products, I really like Rimmel Natural Bronzer - gorgeous formaultion and pigmentaton. And its also lovely at bronzing up my pale skin.

I love bargain eyeshadow palette which is pigmneted and blendable - Max Factor Cappuicino Nude Palette has eight shades in total with a mixture of mattes and shimmer which means you can use one palette to create a stunning look. The pigmentation and formulation are really nice - it's very good for drugstore especially the matte shades. The shimmer shades are pigmented but not as good as high end but still good.

Some days I love a quick eyeshadow so Maybelline Colour Tattoo in 'Pink Gold' is lovely and crate quick eye looks. Lovely especially in the last few warmer months - this across the lid and mascara, DONE!

Liquid Lipsticks have become increasingly popular over the last few years especially since Kylie Cosmetics. A gorgeous liquid lipstick I discovered was Sleek Matte Me 'Shabby Chic' - gorgeous shade and formulation.
I do love a CT lipstick and a treat myself to the Charlotte Tilbury 'English Beauty' Lipstick. Gorgeous matte formualtion and lovely pink nude lipstick. The packaging is also stunning and look lovely in my collection.

Hope you like this post.

My 3 Top Body Shop Products

The Body Shop is a lovely brand which is cruelty-free and vegan. The formulations are lovely, packaging gorgeous and scents are so good! So in today's post, I wanted to share my 3 favourite Body Shop products.

1. Aloe Vera  Calming Toner - one of my new year's resolutions was to improve my skincare routine. Annoying I have quite sensitive skin which can easily react, but this aloe vera toner is lovely. It doesn't make my skin react and make my skin so soft after application.  It also makes my makeup application really nice the next day.

2.  I do love the Body Shop body butter range - my personal favourite is the  Mango Body Cream. The formulation is gorgeous - lovely and moisturising. The mango scent is also so refreshing and great for the upcoming summer season. It contains mango seed oil as well as cocoa butter to create a lovely formula.

3. I do love a pamper evening including a face mask. And my go-to for a while is the British Rose Face Mask - it smells gorgeous and the gel formulation is so refreshing. The gel also infused with real rose petals, rose essence, rose hip oil and organic Community Trade aloe vera.

Hope you like this post and have a lovely day!

Forever Repurchasing Products

Being a makeup obsessed teenager as well as a beauty blogger, I love trying new makeup items - it's probably quite bad how much time I spend looking at new makeup items online. But there are some items I know I will forever repurchase (well until discontinued)  as I know it works for my skin and I love the formulations.

The go-to mascara that I will keep repurchasing is the Maybelline Lash Sensational Luscious Mascara - adds length and volume to my lashes. Perfect for every day as well as more dramatic look due to the buildable formula.

I think I buy this month at least 2x a year as I do like to set my face with powder and my go-to is definitely Rimmel Stay Matte Powder. So affordable and the fine powder is great for baking and keeping my makeup set all day.

I believe I have over 5 Collection Lasting Perfection Concealers in my collection. I have the formulation and pigmentation so every time  I see it - I pick at least one up as I don't run out.

An affordable eye base that I love is the Maybelline Colour Tattoo in Creme De Nude - great to hide any pigmentation on the lid. Therefore a perfect base for every eye looks also great at correcting my brow shape.

I hope you like this post.

Please follow and comment the products you love and repurchase.

Hope you have a lovely day!

My Travel Makeup Bag Essentials 2018

I have never been a light packer - I’m always the one with the largest suitcase or bag. So in today's post, I want to share what I usually put in my makeup bag whilst I'm travelling.

Face

I'm a full coverage foundation sort of girl - so I wanted a coverage foundation which lasts all day which is great especially when travelling; so I went for the Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation, Lovely coverage and formulation, and I usually I apply a small on a concealer brush and apply under my eyes and shape my brow.
To set my face I use the Insta Matte Powder to keep everything in place and mattify my face.
Bronzer is a must for me as I have quite a big round face as I need to add some structure. I'm also pale so bronzer makes me look alive so a must have is the Hoola Lite. Lovely cool tones to create a natural contour. Then for highlight, I use 'Champagne Truffle' from the Too Faced palette on my cheekbones as well as on my brow bone and inner corners.

Eyes and Brows

I love taking versatile palettes with me whilst travelling - my go to is always the Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette. It contains a range of brown shades, lid shades as well as a highlighter. I do use this as a brow shade as well as especially when travelling. For eyeliner - I use my trusty Tanya Burr Selfie Flick Eyeliner. One of my favourites mascara is the L'Oreal Paradise Mascara - add length and volume for day and evening.

Lips

To be honest I usually take a handful of lipstick when travelling as I don't know what lipstick I would feel like wearing. But I will definitely take the Charlotte Tilbury Kidman Kiss which is one of my favourite spring pink lipsticks. Lovely pigmentation and formulation and the packaging is gorgeous! EOS lip balm is also a must especially before lipsticks so it applies nicely.

Hope you like this post!

Hope you have a lovely weekend!

May Goals 2018

Last month went so quickly and I can't believe its nearly halfway through 2018. The next few months are quite bad for me which is fairly scary.  So I wanted to set a few goals for the next few weeks:

  • Organise my wardrobeAs England starting to feel a bit sunnier, I need to get out some of my summery items out. And that also means
  • Working on my Instagram engagement and photos - I'm always envious of other peoples Instagram photos especially fashion one. So I would love to improve my photos and engage with other bloggers.
  • Engage more with other bloggers do Twitter - I love talking to other bloggers but I haven't done it much lately due to a lot happening in my non-blogging life. Hopefully, I will talk to more bloggers this month.
  • Work Hard - Unfortunately this it's coming up to the exam session, my favourite time of year (not!) So I would love to work as hard as I can to get the grades I need for the next step in my life.
  • Lose Weight - I have always been self-conscious about my weight and I've always lose a bit of weight but a bit back on and this is a repeating cycle. So this month inspired my Gabby (velvetgh0st) I want to lose weight by creating a healthy lifestyle and keep the weight off.
Hope you like this post and I hope you have a lovely day!

Clinique Moisture Favourites

Clinique is a brand that I've always wanted try as I had heard amazing things about it especially their skincare. I found this set in Boots on the clearance rail for £7.50 which I thought was amazing so I had to pick it up.

A gorgeous lip treatment with sheer colour - lovely formulation with oils and butter to relieve dry lips and add moisturisation. And adds nourishing Vitamin E to help protect the lips and the pencil-style applicator makes it easy to apply sheer soft lip colour.

The concentrate is a water-gel concentrate that instantly dehydrates my skin. The concentrate contends a Liquid-Sphere Technology which combines water-binding ingredients with encapsulated antioxidants to help break the cycle of dryness and environmental stress that can lead to premature ageing.

I've never tried a facial spray before - this one is gorgeous, it's a refreshing, skin hydrating. It immediately hydrates my skin and my skin feels so soft after. The fine mist spray absorbs quickly without leaving a filmy residue. The portability of package allows for use anytime throughout the day or while travelling.

I love this set and gorgeous products - can't wait to try more Clinique products.

Hope you have a lovely Bank Holiday Weekend!

April Favourites 2018

I'm a shocked by the fact that it's already the end of another month. Being at the end of the month it also means that it's time for yet another post about my monthly favourites! I love watching favourites videos on YouTube and reading blog posts about those, so I enjoy writing them myself even more!

Beauty Favourites

I have previously mentioned on my blog that I have loving mixing my foundation with a BB cream this month I’ve been loving Lancome Beauty Balm. It was technically my mum’s but she didn’t use it so I’ve used it and loved it!

This year I wanted to try a range of new brands and one of them as Clinique. And I found a gorgeous set on offer which contained  Clinique Chubby Stick Moisturising Lip Colour Balm in Super Strawberry as well as some skincare. I love the chubby stick lip balm - gorgeous formulation and shade.

I’ve recently hit pan on my fave Hoola Lite bronzer so I’ve been looking for a cheap alternative and I found and loved Rimmel Natural Bronzer this month. The bronzer is slightly more warm tones but still great for my pale skin. And the formulation is gorgeous too.

There's nothing better than taking off my makeup in the evening and applying a thick moisturiser. My favourite is the Nivea Night Cream - my skin feels soft and my makeup applies really nicely in the morning.

Other Favourites

I love watching compilations videos on youtube whether that’s Jeremy Kyle or pregnancy announcements. But this month I’ve loved watching Coronation Street Compilations videos - I have never actually watched a full episode of Coronation Street but their youtube videos are so good.

Oil hair products are a must for me, especially with curly, frizzy hair. I have loved the L’Oreal oil shampoo so I wanted to try the L’Oreal Elvive Extraordinary Oil Nourishing Balm. IT’S AMAZING !!!! I apply this weekly to the ends of my hair, and it makes my hair so soft.

Hope you like this post!

Please comment your monthly favourites as I would love to know. Please follow me also on Bloglovin as I nearly at 1000!

Hope you have a lovely day!
