Time For Sleep ...

Student life is exhausting; I swear 90% of the time you feel sleep deprived haha. Mainly from being social, long lecture days and binge watching Gilmore girls. So any things to help get me to sleep is an added bonus. So in today's post I wanted to share a few things that I have use to try and get the perfect night sleep.

Skincare

I do love my skincare; Dermalogica Sound Sleep Cacoon* is my favourite that I have previously mentioned in my blog. But it's a gel-cream formulation which contains a variety of nourishing oils;
tamarind seed extract to help hydrate the skin, wu-zhu-uu Extract to brighten the skin and persian silk tree extract to help with skin fatigue. The smell is so relaxing, reminds me of a spa which is lovely as it contains lavender oils.
The packaging is really cute, a little cylinder dispenser with the twisty lid to unlock and to push to get product out. It's really cute and I do love the Dermalogica packaging.
The formulation is really nice and sinks into the skin really easily, leaving the skin feel and look so refreshed even if sometimes you don't.

Audiobook

I'm not to much of a reader and recently I've got into audiobooks. I have just finished 'Becoming by Michelle Obama' which was so good. I've wanted to write this book for while, but I'm so glad I've finally got round to reading it as I love it. This audiobook I listened to on walks to uni and travelling. But at night I've been listening to Penguin’s ‘Sleep Tales’, some calming tales really help get you to sleep. There's also hours of them so plenty of tales to listen to.

Pillow Spray

This is more of a new one for me, I got this last year in my advent calendar and I love it! This is for the days that I'm really struggling to get to sleep or I know that I need to get up early in the morning. The one I've been using is This Works Deep Pillow Spray which contains lavender, camomile and vetivert.  Firstly I was quite spectacle on whether it would work, but to my surprise it does which is amazing! I love the fact it's also transportable so great for travel and tucking it into your bag.

Hope you like this post.

Please comment on things that help get you to sleep.

My Past Week in Lipsticks #12

Another week has past, meaning another range of makeup looks and lipstick wore. So in this post, I wanted to share my the lipstick that I wore over the past week as I am a bit of a lipstick addict.

Monday
One of my favourite autumnal shades is the MAC Patrick Starrr 'Spank Me Santa' lipstick. This is a gorgeous dusty rose shade, which has lovely red undertones. Which goes with a range of makeup looks, I personally love it with the a simply bronze eye.

Tuesday
A simple lip look is the NYX Soft Matte Lip in 'Cannes', it's a gorgeous and goes with a variety of looks. Personally I love this lip with the CT Bronzed Garnet or any look really. It's also a good lip to put on and leave the door,

Wednesday
Most people has a their pale nude lipstick of chose, MAC 'Patisserie' Lipstick is mine. It's a pale pinky beige lip which looks lovely with a slightly darker smokey eye, as well as a small amount of the lips and buffed in looks lush.

Thursday
Thursday is my day off uni day, so I usually go for my quick and simple no makeup makeup look, usually as I only pop out for some fresh air. Therefore Fenty Beauty Lipgloss was worn as it's a lovely natural gloss but adds something really nice and put together to the look.

Friday
Sometime you can't beat a CT lipstick, Friday is one of my busiest days so I grab what lip I love and throw it in my bag. This past week was my trusty Charlotte Tilbury 'English Beauty' Lipstick, lovely pink shade which is like a your lips but better sort of look.

Saturday
L'Oreal JLO Lipstick is a lipstick which I hadn't actually used for a while and got out of my collection. A lovely pink lipstick with a lush cream formulation which is goes with all makeup looks and also simple and elegant. I love this shade, with its pale pink undertones.

Sunday
Matte liquid lipsticks are one of my favourites in the autumn, sometimes can be a bit drying on the lips. But the Sleek Matte Me 'Birthday Suit' Liquid lipstick is a lovely brown pinky nude with a velvet formulation which isn't drying on the lips. And as its a Sunday the long lasting formation was especially prominent after eating a huge roasts and coffees and it still looking like I just applied it.

Hope you like this post.

Please comment on your go to lipsticks of the moment.

The Ordinary Lactic Acid 10% + HA Serum

The Ordinary is a brand that I've wanted to try for ages; as I've heard some lovely things. Also whenever I got to Covent Gardens the shop seems packed which is probably a good sign. Over the summer I went to the Topshop on Oxford Street not realising they have an ordinary stand, so when I found it I knew I had to pick at least one thing up. So I picked up the Ordinary Lactic Acid 10% + HA.

I have a real interest in the chemistry of cosmetics, skincare and toiletries so I had previously read and researched a lot of acids on the skin. Also which are the most beneficial for your skin and certain skin concerns. Over the heat of the summer now the cold of autumn, my skin usually gets dry and red. But I have been using the Ordinary Lactic Acid 10% + HA it has helped my skin. Lactic acid is a natural exfoliate which stimulates cell regeneration to reduce pigmentation and diminish acne scars. I have naturally red cheeks, what some people call 'English rose complexion', which I'm usually self-conscious of and hide under makeup. But since using this serum I have noticed a difference in the pigmentation on my cheeks, obviously it's not going to disappear but my skin is looking more even-toned.

The added hydraulic acid hydrates your skin; most of my moisturising that I use contain HA as I love the hydration benefits. Hydraulic acid strengthens the lipid barrier to improve the skin’s ability to attract and retain moisture. I usually apply this every evening as part of my skincare routine and I have seen a real difference in my skin in the morning, it also feels refreshing on the skin. Another reason for applying it in the evening is because of the slight exfoliate it enhance the sensitivity to sunlight. Therefore as you are exposed to less sunlight in the evening it's calmer/better on your skin, but if you do use on day-use extra suncream is recommended.

I love also the fact that Tasmanian pepperberry has also been added to the formulation, I never heard of this ingredient before this serum, as in I have never seen it in any other skincare. But it's a natural anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and also protects your skin from UV damage.
Gladly the serum hasn't caused any irritation on the skin, as sometimes acids pH can be too acidic for your skin causing redness. So I know for some this % could be too high therefore a slightly lower would be more beneficial, however, the addition of the Tasmanian pepperberry lowers the irritation that could be caused by the acid.

Overall I love this product, as you can probably tell like the ingredients also and the science behind it( probably also helps I do a chemistry degree!) . I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a exfoliate hydrating serum and would love to try some more of the Ordinary products.

Hope you like this post and hope you have a lovely weekend.

Please comment on whether you have tried any the Ordinary products, and is so which ones.

Rimmel Magnifeyes Eyeshadow Palette Spice | Affordable Autumnal Palette

I LOVE autumnal makeup; the copper, red and gold eyeshadow look or smokey brown eyes. One of the best affordable autumnal palettes I have found is the Rimmel Magnifeyes Eyeshadow Palette Spice. Rimmel is one of my favourite drugstore or even my favourite drugstore brand. The formulations of their products and affordable as well. I have had my eye on the Urban Decay Heat palette for a while but this looks like a lovely dupe.

The palette contains 12 stunning shades; a range of warm orange, red, coppery shades. The formulations of the shades are so good; pigmented, blendable and no fall out which is a bonus! The pigmentation of the matte and shimmer shades also doesn't differ which sometimes happens in the cheaper more affordable palette.
The formulations are consistent; one of my favourite shades is the pinky copper (5th shade) - definitely my go-to lid shade. Then a mixture of the matte shades are lovely for the crease, light transition shade then blending it out and smoking it with the darker shades. It can create day soft looks or more of an evening dramatic looks. The undertones of the palette also really compliment my green eyes which is a bonus.

The packaging of the palette is quite simple; one thing which would be lovely if the palette had a small mirror. To make it better for travel hopefully, it's quite streamlined therefore fits in your bag easily. I don't use the brushes provided as they aren't the best; so I use my trusty Real Techniques blending brush and the Spectrum Collection lid brush.

Overall I'm obsessed with this palette!!!! Gorgeous shades, pigmentation and formulation, I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for an autumnal warm tones palette.

Hope you like this post and I have changed my schedule to Tuesday and Thursdays as that works better for me. So hope you have a lovely rest of your week!

Please comment on your favourite autumnal palettes.

A Autumn Pamper Evening 2019*

In today's post, I wanted to share my autumnal pamper evening, as recently in the UK its been cold and rainy so a pamper evening is very much needed. Some of the products mentioned in this post are Nivea and Dermalogica which I was kindly gifted.

I love to start a pamper evening with a shower/bath, so for shower gel, I use the Nivea Clay Flesh Shower Gel in Ginger and Basil*. As suggested on the bottle, it's a green shower gel which I love and is really lovely on the skin. Makes you feel all nice and clean, and the scent is lovely too. Nice and fresh!

For moisturiser the Nivea Fresh Cucumber and Matcha Tea Body Mousse*; a lovely foam which absorbs quickly. I do love a foam moisturiser as there's something different about them also. The packing is also nice and as it's slim doesn't take up much shelf space. Also, another refreshing scent which makes you feel lovely and smooth.

One of my favourite things on a pamper evening is the skincare; a good face mask, toner, intensive moisturiser the full works!

After a cleansed face usually using the Garnier Micellar Water, I like to use an exfoliate. So my one of chose atm is the Dermalogica Gentle Cream Exfoliant*, as suggested a really nice soft exfoliate. Which makes your skin feel lovely and smooth but doesn't make your face bright red.

For a face mask; the Nivea Urban Skin Detox Mask* which is lovely. I do like a peel-off mask as it's quite satisfying peeling it off at the end. But it also helps get any dirt out of your pores which is an added bonus. A little goes a long way.

One of my favourite toners is the Pixi Rose Toner, gorgeous pink toner. I have honestly seen a change in the brightness of my skin using this product which a very much an added bonus. After my toner, I love to apply an acid serum so at the moment my favourite on is The Ordinary Lactic Acid serum. So naturally moisturising and great ingredients.

Last but by no means least, moisturiser I usually go between 2 moisturisers; Hasoft Instant Boost and the Dermalogica Sound Sleep Cacoon*. They are both so hydrating and makes your skin feel so nice! The Sleep Cacoon I use especially on days when I'm very tired and just want to relax.

Hope you like this post and have a lovely rest of the week!

Please comment on your favourite pamper evening essentials,

Quick Autumnal Makeup Routine 2019

After a month break, I'm finally back blogging, some of you may have seen on my Instagram that I was on a volunteering holiday for a few weeks. But recently I've been getting back into the swing of uni so my little blog took a back seat.
So since the last post, it's been cold and windy in England - very autumnal. Therefore the autumnal makeup looks have made their yearly appearance. From the berry lip, smokey or copper eye and a bit more coverage on the skin. In today's post, I wanted to share my quick makeup look for the days when I'm in a rush.

Brows & Eyes

The brow product that I have been using for a while is the Rimmel Powder Duo in 002 Medium Brown. The powder duo contains a light brown powder as well as a slightly darker brown wax. The mixture of both powders creates the perfect brow shade for me. I do use the little brush also to apply product then the spoolie to shape the brows.

For a simple and quick eye, I am loving the Charlotte Tilbury Bronzed Garnet Eyeshadow Pencil. A lovely pigmented eyeshadow which is easy to apply. Some amount on the lid and blended with a bit of bronzer/brown shade in the crease creates an easy autumnal eye look. I love that the undertones in the Bronzed Garnet compliment my green eyes which is an added bonus.

I do love a good mascara, recently been using an old favourite the Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara. Firstly I really like the limited rose gold/pink packaging which is perfect for the upcoming festival season. The formulation and the applicator brush are great, grabs every lash. Adds lengths and volume and doesnt transfer/flake which is a bonus especially in these colder/wet months.

Face

For the base I use this Rimmel duo; Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation and Rimmel Lasting Matte 'Illuminator' Concealer. The Rimmel foundation has lovely coverage and pigmentation, it is also lightweight on the skin. For under-eye circles I apply some of the illuminator concealers to cover any pigmentation and under-eye bags. It also helps neaten up any eye makeup and helps brighten up the face.

To add a bit more colour to my ghostly pale complexion I use the ABH Light Light-Medium Contour Kit. To set my face I use a mixture of the 3 powder shades, then a mixture of the bronzer/contour shades to add shape and warmth to my face.

To add a bit of a winter glow, the highlighter of chose is the Colourpop x Zoella 'Swipe Right' Highlighter. A pigmented highlighter with pink relexes and looks good on most skintones. The fine powder blends into the skin really quickly/easily. I apply it to my cheekbones, brow bone and inner corners.

Lips

Usually, I have 2 moods for autumnal lips; berry or nude. If it's berry lip; Rimmel 107 is a classic. Or more a muted bold lip, the Clinique Super Strawberry Chubby Stick. For nude, you can't beat a Charlotte Tilbury English Beauty for the finishing touch.

Hope you like this post and have a fab start to the week!

Please comment on your favourite autumnal makeup look.

First Impression: Rimmel Lasting Matte 'Illuminator' Concealer

It's Friday, and as its a bank holiday its a 3 day weekend! Today I wanted to share my first impressions on the Rimmel Lasting Matte 'Illuminator' Concealer. It's been a while since I purchased a Rimmel concealer. So when I saw the 2 for £10 Rimmel offer at Boots I thought it was a good opportunity to try it.

Firstly the packaging is quite classic; with the clear tube, black lid and writing. It does remind me a bit like the Collection lasting perfection concealer.

The formulation is lovely; I wasn't sure on how illuminating a soft matte full coverage concealer can be.  But the full coverage is good especially for my under eye circles. It has a quite long lasting I did have to top up the concealer once to cover up the under eye circles. But with most concealer I have to top it up throughout the day to keep my under eye looking bright and awake!! On the other hand the concealer didn't crease at all throughout the day which was a bonus. I did set it a bit with some powder to help it not crease or set.

As you can tell from the photo this concealer defintely has yellow tones to help counteract the purpleness under the eyes. The range has 11, which is quite limited but hopefully there's a shade for everyone. Also it's quite nice that most concealer shades match the foundation shades.

Overall, I'm really pleased with this concealer that it does cover and illumate my undereye circles.

My Healthy Summer Glow Skincare Routine 2019

Everyone loves a heathly summer glow, whether that's a good glowy skincare routine or some extra highlight. In this post I wanted to share my morning summer glow routine; this usual consists of hydro-boosters serums, toners and moisturisers. For each of these I have shared 2 products that I love and add a lovely healthy glow to the skin.

To start with Toners, a small amount of toner on a cotton pad adds a lovely refreshing base especially on morning skin. One thing I love about toners is little goes a long way. The two I love and change between are the Pixi Rose Tonic and Body Shop British Rose Gel Toner. As you can probably tell I do love a rose toner hahah! The Pixi Rose Tonic is enriched with rose and elderflower and it's lovely at refreshing the skin. As well as calm any redness on the skin, and is great on any facial sunburn. The Body Shop Rose Gel Toner has a lovely formaultion and as it's a gel it makes it refreshing as well as adding a good glow. The smell is stunning, I do love rose scent but it's subtle and not overpowering.
Both toners are lovely bases and really helps refresh your skin to help the healthy glow.

Next the Hydro - Booster Serums, I do tend to mix the serum and moisturiser together before placing them on the skin. The Hydro - Booster Serums of chose are the Neutrogena Hydro Boost and The Hero Project Hyasoft Instant Moisture Boost. Both quite similar in formulation as they are light weight, highly moisturing and refreshing. Both the serums contains hyaluronic acid, which helps retain the skins moisture meaning gives a hydrated glow to the skin.

Then finally, Moisturisers, one of my favoruite steps and the perfect end of morning skincare routine. As well as lovely base for makeup; I do love the Dermologica Skin Smoothing Cream* and Tarte Drink of H2O Hydrating Boost Moisturiser. The Dermologica Skin Smoothing Cream* is a lovely light moisturiser containing aloe vera and cucumber.
The Tarte Drink of H2O Hydrating Boost Moisturiser, is more of a gel mosituriser but so hydrating. The moisturiser also contains hyaluronic acid, as well as plant extract.
Both make refreshing moisturisers, and the mixture of Hydro - Booster Serums and Moisturier on top of toner makes an amazing hyrated glow to the skin perfect for summer.

Hope you like this post and hope you have a lovely day!

Current Summer Favourites 2019

I do love a favourites post, and I've looked back at previous posts and realised I haven't done one in a while. So today I wanted to share some of my favourites from the past few months; both beauty and lifestyle.

Beauty

Discovering new makeup and beauty products is one of my favourite things to do. As well as re discovering old favourites.

Definitely my go to at the moment is the Charlotte Tilbury Dreamagsm Palette, the shades are stunning. The pigmentation is lovely and the packaging is gorgeous. The little mirror also makes it travel friendly. To finish every eye look reently I have been using the  Rimmel London Wonder'Luxe Volume Mascara. Lovely mascara which adds length, volume and it's also great for layering to create more dramatic lashes.

I have really been loving lip products recently so I have quite a few top ones:
For a base lip balm my go to is the Nivea Mango Shine Lip Balm*, which I was kindly gifted and loving!! It really smells and tastes like mango and I LOVE IT!! ahah! Also creates a soft base for any lipsticks,
This is one lip I have been loving recently is the Colourpop x Zoella @Me. It's a gorgeous pink liquid lip with a lightweight non drying formulation which is exactly what I like for a matte lip.
I'm loving the combo of the @Me with the Fenty Gloss for an everyday summer gloss lip. The gloss is stunning by itself as well as layered on top of other lips. As the gloss is a lovely shimmering rose nude shade.
For a more summer occasion lip; Rimmel Stay Satin 'It Girl' Liquid Lipstick is a gorgeous sophisticated lip. As its pinky-brown nude but with red undertones so it's more of a darker nude in my collection. The formulation is also lovely.

Other Favourites

As it's been summer, I have been binge watching shows from either Netflix or Amazon Prime. Some my favourites have been Ugly Betty and Teen Moms UK. I have already watched Ugly Betty but many years ago. So it was lovely to watch it again and remember how much I love it! Teen Moms UK has been a show that I've heard a lot about and watched to watch for a while. So when I saw it amazon prime I was delighted and got through the series very quickly.

I have a drink favourite; elderflower cordial I think make such refreshing summer drink. Elderflower cordial with some alcoholic spirits (vodka and gin) are also lovely too ;)

Hope you like this post and hope you are having a lovely day!

Rimmel Stay Satin 'It Girl' Liquid Lipstick

Happy Monday!! I hope you all had a lovely weekend. I do love liquid lipstick, as I like the long-lasting formulation so will last all day. Before I had only tired liquid matte lipstick which can be quite drying but I recently got the Rimmel Stay Satin Liquid Lipstick in It Girl. Rimmel had a deal if you spent £12 you got a free summer gift which contained one of their eyeshadows and this gorgeous lip.

To start with the packaging of the Rimmel Stay Satin 'It Girl' Liquid Lipstick is classic. I love that the packaging shows the shade of the lipstick. So you know exactly what shade you are buying, and for Rimmel it can show the shade range they have bought out.

The Rimmel Stay Satin 'It Girl' Liquid Lipstick is a pinky-brown nude (haha classic me shade!). But does have some red undertones making it a slightly darker nude The share compliments my ghostly skin tone really nicely and goes with most eye looks.

As previously mentioned liquid matte lipsticks can be quite drying on the lips. So I was intrigued by how the formulation would differ to make it a satin finish. As usual I prime the lips with a lip balm and honestly, it glides on and doesn't cling on to dry patches. It doesn't feel uncomfortable on the lips which are a bonus. I do have to admit that it slightly drying if you don't apply lip balm as a basis for the lip. The finish is as it says on the tube 'satin' so like a matte but with a slight sheen glossy finish. I love this finish, as it's a nice balance of matte and gloss that's comfortable on the lip but has a long-wearing formulation.

Hope you like this post, please comment if you have tried any of the Rimmel Satin Lips.

My 5 Go To Mascaras 2019

IT'S FRIDAY!!! Therefore the weekend is in upon us which is probably quite good for most of us haha. I'm also back from a non-intentional but needed break from social media. But gladly I feel a bit me and more motivated to get back to my blog and posting again.
In today's post, I wanted to share my 5 go-to mascaras. I do love a good mascara and especially one that doesn't transfer when it's warm so I don't look like a panda haha. I do like false effect lashes, so lots of volume and length without looking clumpy or spidery. I also seem to love oil-enriched mascaras.

The most mentioned mascara on my blog is the Maybelline Lash Sensational Luscious Mascara, I can't even count the number of mascaras I've own over the past few years. For long voluminous lashes and doesn't flake which is an added bonus. The brush is so easy to use and grabs every lash. The packaging is also classic with the black tube and pink metallic writing.

The most recent discovery is the Rimmel London Wonder'Luxe Volume Mascara. I've been using this mascara everyday for over a month and loving it! The bristle brush grabs every lash; adding length and volume to every lash. It's also has a buildable formulation to create lots of volume. I also love the metallic pink packaging!

My favourite curl mascara is the Benefit Roller Lash; adds volume, length as well as curls lashes. The mascara is buildable so creates everyday lashes and also creates more dramatic fan eyelashes. The applicator brush is really good - gets every lash and separates them as well.

Another drugstore mascara I love is Max Factor Masterpiece Lash Crown Defining Mascara. Firstly the packaging I think is so chic with the gold crown lid. The brush is also unique, with the curve brush on one side and a ball brush on the other for the bottom lashes. The mascara creates nice full lashes with added length and volume.

This was one mascara I got after seeing a lot of hype about, hoping I would love it and I do! This mascara is the Tarte Light, Camera, Lashes. To start with the formulation and pigmentation are amazing as it adds length and volume. Similarly to the benefits one, the brush is great at separating lashes to create fan lash effect.

Hope you like this post and it would be amazing if you could comment on your favourite mascara as I do love trying.

Summer Bold Lip Edit 2019

Guess who's back! haha, I decided to take a little break from social media and blogging but today I'm back with my 'Summer Bold Lip Edit'. I'm usually a nude lip sort of girl but I do love a bold lip in the summer with a natural eye.

There's 3 sorts of bold lip I like is Berry, Red and Bright Pink. As well as different formuations; lipstick, lip gloss and matte liquid lipstick.

Berry lips are more of a winter lip but I do sometimes wear it in summer as it does suit my pale skin tone. The three berry lips I have in my collection is the 'Rimmel Kate Moss 07' and 'Tanya Burr Lipgloss in Bewitching' and the 'Sleek Matte Lip in Velvet Slipper '. For the summer time I usually wear the lipgloss over a nude lip for more of a subtle bold lip.

Red lips are more of a classic and sophiscated bold lip. I feel like there is always something quite chic in wearing a red lip. There are a variety of undertoned red lips as well on the market; some pink toned, orange toned, brown toned as well as some pure red. I usually lean towards the more pinky undertoned reds
or post box red haha. The purest red I've got is the 'L'Oreal Colour Riche 461' and the 'Tanya Burr Liquid Lip in Christmas Stocking'. The L'Oreal lip is more of a creamy formulation which I like especially in the heat. I love this with a simply makeup, glams up any look. A more subtle red is the Soap and Glory Matte Lip in Choccoberry, a red lip with brown undertones which suit my skin tone really nicely.

Out of all three, bold pink lips are probably my favourite - more me! My favourite pink lip is the 'Benefit They're Real! Double The Lip & Liner In One Travel Sized Mini in 'Pink Thrills' which is a lip stick and liner in one. So so simply to apply and use and as it's a mini perfect handbag/small bag fit. The pigmentation of the lip is so lovely.

The photo below shows seom of the swatches of the bold lips mentioned; group in colour order.

Hope you like post and are having a lovely Monday!

Please comment on your favourite bold summer lips.

Products I'll Always Re-Purchase #2

I love finding products that I know I will repurchase again and again, as they work for me, my skin tone and lashes. Quite a lot of these products I know are other favourites, as to buy in the first place I  heard good recommendations.

For a lovely eye base to keep your eyeshadow staying all day is the Maybelline Colour Tattoo in Creme de Beige. It's a long staying high pigmented base which is a perfect skin match for me hah so I could also use it as a concealer. This is already my second pot for this, the first pot lasted ages as a small amount goes a long way. The packaging is also lovely and great for travel also.

Well, I'm not sure how many Maybelline Lash Sensational Luscious Mascara I have owned over the past few years. This is definitely my go-to mascara for long voluminous lashes and doesn't flake which is an added bonus. The brush is so easy to use and grabs every lash.

I do love a full coverage concealer, and Revolution Conceal and Define Concealer is AMAZING!!! Full coverage, lovely formulation and affordable so we will definitely repurchase again. I have already bought at least 3 concealers already but definitely will get more in the future. I also love the wide shade range so perfect for everyone.

Well, this lip gloss has been mentioned a lot the past few months, the NYX Butter Gloss in 'Tiramisu' is a gorgeous pink gloss. Perfect for the summer and spring months and goes great with a range of eye combo looks. I love this especially with a golden eye or a copper brown eye. The gloss also has a lovely formulation which glides onto the lips.

A lippie I always seem to go back to is the MAC Velvet Teddy Lipstick, the lovely browny red undertones suit my pale skin tone and with most looks. The packaging is classic and the bullet shape stands out in my collection. I'm still on my first Velvet Teddy lipstick but its nearly finished so will definitely get another one when it's finished.

Hope you like this post and have a lovely day.

Please comment on the products that you will always repurchase.

Summer Makeup Menu 2019

Happy Monday! I took a little week off blogging as I was busy in London, completing a short course as well as seeing friends and family. So to make the most of it I took a slight step back from social media which I kind of needed haha. Today I wanted to share my summer makeup menu and probably the makeup I will take on holiday.

Base

England has actually been sunny for once, meaning SPF is especially important. SPF is needed all year round but I don't particularly want a burnt face in summer. My go to is the Solait SPF 50+ fluid liquid as I'm so pale. As it has UVA rating too which helps anti ageing. I'm also using a Lactic Acid serum at the moment at night so I have to be careful with the sun and wear suncream.

Brows

I'm a powder palette sort of person for brows - my go to at the moment is the Rimmel Brow Palette. The palette has a powder and a wax which you can mix together to create your right shade. As it only contains 2 shades it's lovely for travelling as its so small. The packaging is quite basic but does the job haha.

Eyes

For eyeshadow, I use the Charlotte Tilbury 'Dreamgasm' Luxury Palette, definitely going to be my go to over the next few months. You also can't go wrong with a bit of Charlotte Tilbury haha.  The shades are so summery, and you can create a variety of shades with such 4 shades, natural and dramatic. The red toned shade compliments the green in my eyes really nicely and I use this as a crease shade for a variety of my eye looks.

One of my go-to mascaras is the Maybelline Lash Sensational Luscious Mascara; I love the formulation and the way it makes my lashes look. It adds lots of length and volume to create every day as well as a dramatic lash. This mascara slightly differs from the original Lash Sensational as it's enriched with a blend of precious oils; rose, safflower and argan oil. As it has this oil enriched the brush is slightly different to reach every lash.

Face

Going back to an old favourite, I use the Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation. The formulation is really nice and lightweight on the skin. For a bit extra coverage on any blemishes, any redness and under eye circles I use the Revolution Conceal and Define Concealer. The coverage of this concealer is lush and so pigmented. Then to set my face I use the ABH Light/ Medium Contour Palette; 'Vanilla' is a lovely yellow powder to set under the eyes. Then a mixture of 'Sand', 'Vanilla' and 'Banana' I use to mattify the face and to prevent any shine throughout the day. Then 'Fawn' and 'Java' to bronze the face and add shape to prevent me from looking pale and get a summer tan.
Then for a summer glow, I'm loving the Fenty Beauty Killawatt Highlighter in "Hu$tla Baby". It adds a lovely golden glow to the skin - making it looked golden which looks lovely in the sun.
A swipe of highlighter on the cheekbones, on the brow bone and the top of the lips, easily completes the look.

Lips

One of my favourite parts of makeup; the lips as there are so many options to chose from and really finishes off a look. There's honestly a variety of shades and formulations I could pick from. A firm favourites of mine at the moment is the NYX butter gloss in Tirmasu it's a lovely pink gloss perfect for all occasion. Other favourites are CT 'Miss Kensington' or Fenty Gloss.

Hope you like this post for a fairly simple summer look. Definitely will be packing all these products on holiday.

Please comment some of your summer makeup favourites.

The Wardrobe Addition I'm Making Space For Summer 2019

I recently read a post from Kate La Vie blog on The Wardrobe Addition I'm Making Space For Spring and love it and the clothing items which mentioned so thought I would do a similar post with some of the clothes I would lvoe for summer.

I do love ASOS, and they have some gorgeous pieces which are perfect for summer. They have alot of lovely pieces but these are my favourites:
ASOS DESIGN square neck linen midi sundress
As you can tell I been loving playsuit, jumpsuirs and maxi dresses this season. Super flattering and perfect for every occasion.

PrettyLittleThing is a brand that I love the look of their clothes but never actually bought any of their clothes. These pair of trousers look so flattering they are the Diya Black Pin Stripe Casual Trousers . These look lovely and light weigh for the summer season.

One of my favourite clothing brands is Boohoo; an afforable brand and most of their stuff are my style which is a bonus. Two of my favourites are:
Mini Polka Dot Short Sleeved Shift Dress
Tall High Waist Twin Pack Denim Mom Shorts
Shift dresses are my favourite as they arent too tight fitting as I'm quite a self consicous person so want to feel comfortable. Then as I'm tall I usually shop for bottom clothing like trouers, jean and jumpsuits in the tall section of sites. This short look super comfortable and perfect for holidays so we defintely but these soon.

Zara is a very me that suits my style. These shoes look lovely for summer and a good dupe for the Chanel espadrilles and about the 20% of the price. These are called Esparto Espadrilles and Zara do a variety of shades.

Another high street brand I love and regularly shop at is New Look. This one piece that stood out to me which is part fo the Rochelle Edit and its a lovely Red Spot Shirred Square Neck Top. I do love a bit of red in my wardrobe and this looks lovely and summery. And spots and square necks are very much in fashion this season.

I'm going to Africa this summer so to respect the culture you need to cover up - dunagrees are perfect. As they long legged and with a tee is a lovely effortless look. I love these  Lucy and Yak Umi Dunagrees and are made out of 100% organic cotton which is an added bonus.

Sunnies are a must for summer to protect your eyes from the suns glear so I've actually recentl purchased the M&S Sorrento Cat Eye Sunglasses. Personally I love the cat eye style and I think look flattering on my face shape.

Hope you like this post and hope you have a lovely day!

Please comment if there are any items that you are hoping to buy this summer season,
