May Favourites 2017

Hi chappes,

As its the end of May means it's time for my May Favourites. I can't  believe how quickly these posts come around!

Beauty Favourites

I've recently written a post on the L'Oreal Hydra Genius Moisturiser  and I completely raved about - its AMAZING! Probably be one of my favourites for quite a few months to come.

As it's been occasion season - a mini mascara has been key in my clutch bag. The one I reached for was the  Charlotte Tilbury Legendary Lashes - this mascara adds so much length and volume.

I was so excited when MAC X Fleur De Force Lipstick came on sale - my sister gladly brought it to me (and she ruined it as well ;)) But I love the colour and formulation of it - perfect for everyday. And will be a great shade for the summer season.

Summer means glowing makeup so Kiko Eye Shadow in 001 is an amazing drugstore highlighter. I like this is suppose to be just an eyeshadow but I love it as a highlighter on the cheekbones as well as the inner corners.

The warmer temperatures means your makeup can slide off your face during the day. But the L'Oreal Infallible Fixing Mist has really helped this month keeping my makeup on all day and leaving my skin looking flawless (well as flawless as it can be) all day.

Other Favourites

I don't really like warm drinks in summer but I love Iced Coffees- they wake you up as well as being so refreshing.

Places by Lea Michele - Lea is one of my favourite artists and when she said she was bringing out a second album i was so excited. I love all the songs and I really like singing along to them.

Hope you like this post

Garnier Summer Body Lotion Light Sun-Kissed

Hi chappes,

Today I wanted to write about my summer moisturiser - the Garnier Summer Body Lotion Light Sun-Kissed.

The moisturiser builds a radiant, glowing gradual tan. The formula is enriched with a hint of self-tan and has camomile and apricot extract to leave skin soft and supple.
The light lotion is easy to apply and absorbed without greasiness to intensely moisturise skin for 12 hours.
It's amazing for people like me who are either pale or burnt but never tan. So using this moisturiser you can have a tanner skin with a nice glow - perfect for summer. They have it in Deep as well as light if you want a deeper tan or for darker skin tones,

L'Oreal Hydra Genius Liquid Moisturiser

Hi chappes,

Today I wanted to write about one of Loreal new skincare items - the  Hydra Genius Moisturiser. I first heard about this from a few of my favourite YouTubers - Rachel Leary, Emily Canham and Victoria (In The Frow)

Personally, I picked up the Combination Skin one - but there are also ones suited for other skin types like Dry or Sensitive. I love the fact that range is suitable for all skin types so suitable for everyone.

The packaging looks really expensive and nice even though its only £6.65 for boots - AMAZING!!

The moisturiser promises to lock in moisture for 72hrs. And the cream is enriched with Aloe Water & Hyaluronic Acid* which instantly refreshes the skin.

The formula is really easy to sink into the skin.
This is an amazing base for your makeup - it makes your makeup look flawless!! I would highly recommend, and I'm not just saying this because I love the L'Oreal brand but it probably the best or one of the best moisturises I have used!!

Hope you like this post.

3 Brands I Love and Want To Try More Of

Hi chappes,

I also have my eyes on new products and I have released they are all from brands I love. And I saw with one of my favourite bloggers PintSizedBeauty did a post similar to this a few days ago and I loved it so I wanted to write a similar one today.

The quality of Charlotte Tilbury products are amazing and the packaging looks lovely in you collection. I love the formula and pigmentation of her lipstick and her Legendary Lashes mascara. At the moment I have my eye on the Beauty Glow palette.

When I saw NYX was coming to Boots stores last year I was soo excited and there were products are so good for the price. From the formulas of lip products e.g. Lip Lingeries or Soft Matte Cream to the finish of there powders e.g. HD Powders .

Rimmel is probably one of my favourite drugstore brands - it was the first makeup brand but recently I have been trying new brands so not used Rimmel as much. But there have some AMAZING products that I want to try as well as re trying some products that I loved.

Hope you like this post.

Please comment your favourite brands and please follow.

What's In My Clutch Bag 2017

Hi chappes,

As its occasion and summer party time i wanted to share what i put in my clutch bag. As you don't want to be carrying lots and have a bulky clutch so i think its important to keep it to the minimum. And I wrote one last year and it seemed quite popular.

Mini Perfume -So you smell nice throughout the day/evening

Phone- for contacting people and/or to take photos to keep memories.

I take the bare necessaries that you need so I fit any other things in it through out the day. :)

Today Iwanted to complete and share the 'What Makeup Suits Your Summer Style? ' Quiz. As I thought it would be interesting as Summer is coming up X  https://www.makeup.com/quiz-whats-your-summer-style

  3. “The world is yours to explore”

4. Your go-to summer hairstyle is:

  1. Makeup? I’m good with some sunscreen.

Results

If You Got … Mostly As: Surfin’ Sister

For you, the extra-long summer days mean more time for you to catch some waves. Your constant water dwelling doesn’t exactly lend itself to a full face of makeup, but you can still look glam while riding those waves! You’re well aware that salt water can leave your skin feeling super tight and dry so make sure to pack a tinted moisturizer in your beach bag to keep your skin hydrated, while giving it some coverage and color. Since SPF is a non-negotiable for long beach days, try mixing it in with your moisturizer before, after and in-between surfing. You can also keep your lips protected while giving them a pop of color by trying a tinted lip balm with moisturizing and protecting properties. Looks like you’ll definitely be making a splash this summer!

Mostly Bs: Hamptons Hottie

You have a taste for the finer things in life, and the summer months are perfect for indulging these tastes. Who wants to get all sandy and wet when you can be rubbing elbows with interesting people and sipping on white wine spritzers? That’s right, if anyone asks, you can be found in the Hamptons wearing crisp sundresses and kitten heels. And, of course no Hamptons outfit is complete without the perfect makeup. For this understated-yet-fabulous look you go for flawless, matte skin that’s contoured to perfection. For your pop of color you enlist a bright and bold lipstick in a summer-appropriate shade like coral or fuchsia. If you’re really feeling sassy, you can throw in thin, subtle winged liner. You’ll be the cream of the East coast crop.
Mostly Cs: The Jet-Setter
You’re not one to stay put, especially during the summer. For you, those hot, sunny months are all about chasing after the next adventure, whether it is in an exotic paradise like Fiji or Costa Rica or in a mystical desert land like Dubai or Egypt. Whatever the destination, you’re always game to add another stamp in that passport! For your jet-setting lifestyle, makeup must be very strategic and travel-friendly. You don’t want to weigh down your luggage with all of your makeup faves, but you also don’t want to settle for a less-than-perfect look. So what’s a girl to do? Stick to a routine that will work in whatever climate/environment while letting your natural beauty shine. Keep your face lovely and simple with some no-makeup makeup. The key to rocking this simplistic look is accentuating (not exaggerating) certain assets like eyelashes and brows. Your face should always look like you woke up looking perfect, so a lightweight foundation and concealer duo is key, along with a light cream blush. For lips, just add a light pink or berry-colored gloss and you’ll be turning heads in whichever country you grace with your presence!

Mostly Ds: Boho Beach Babe

You’re quite the free spirit who likes to drink in life’s little pleasures, especially during the lazy days of summer. For you, this time is about enjoying the weather and festivities however you see fit and with the people you love most. You just want to be outside in nature with those who appreciate it as much as you do. That means evening bonfires on the beach, daytime BBQs and maybe a hike here or there (if it’s not too hot). For makeup, you like to glow, glow, glow. You rock the bronzed, sun-kissed skin (sans harmful UV rays) courtesy of a lightweight bronzer, light neutral-colored shadow and a soft peach or nude lip. For a little extra shimmer, you can add some highlighter along the cheekbones, but you’re not one to go overboard. You want your natural complexion to shine, just like you!

I was a mixture of C and D - The Jet Setter and Boho Beach Babe X I would love if you would comment who you are.
Hope you like this post.

MAC x Fleur De Force Lipstick

Hi chappes,

Today I wanted to write a review on MAC x Fleur De Force lipstick which is a new lipstick to my collection and I LOVE IT!!

MAC cosmetics announced a few month that they are creating new lipsticks with 10 internet beauty influencers. One being one of my favourite Youtubers Fleur de Force creating her own shade for the UK. Which is literally  the dream

Fleur vlogged her trip formulating her lipstick in the Toronto labs and came up with such a gorgeous nude shade. Her shade is a UK exclusive and went on sale on the 8th May!

She created this gorgeous everyday nude shade - a light beige. I love the formulation - its my first MAC cream sheen finish one and its so comfortable on the lips and long lasting.

The shade matches every eye look and I will wear this ALOT this season.

The lipstick comes in the iconic MAC packaging but the outer packaging is so fun and edgy, with Fleurs signature a extra bit special.

Hope you like this post. And a big congrats to Fleur (she will probably never read this but...)

KIKO Smart Colour Eyeshadow in Metallic Rosy White

Hi chappes,

Today I wanted to write a review on the 'KIKO Smart Colour Eyeshadow in Metallic Rosy White'. I picked this up on a recently shopping trip and I this is my first KIKO makeup product.

I wanted a individual eyeshadow for my inner corner highlight as I'm in love with the Too Faced 'Champagne Truffle' shadow but i don't want to use it all up. So when I saw this eyeshadow for £2.50 -yes £2.50 I had to pick it up.
The shadow is soo pigmented and a gorgeous shade for highlighting - it really adds to any eye look.
The packaging is really good of the price as well.

And you can see from the swatch its too pigmented and gorgeous!

I will definitely recommend this eyeshadow and I will definitely want to try some more KIKO products as this was too good and too affordable.

hope you like this post.

MAC Lipstick Collection May 2017

Hi chappes,

Today I wanted to write about my MAC lipstick collection - as who doesn't love MAC lipstick (okay there are probably some who don't but.. ;)

I only have 4 and one of them actually arrived only today (so post coming soon)

The 4 I own is:

Fleur De Force Creamsheen Lipstick - a cool toned beige. This is the shade that arrived today - from swatching the shade looks gorgeous. But a full review soon.

Paterissie Lustre Lipstick - neutral pink. Perfect for everyday -goes with every look.

Velvet Teddy Matte Lipstick - a browny nude. Love it for fall -it has an amazing long lasting pigmented formula. My first MAC lipstick!

Brave Satin Lipstick - a gorgeous pink-beige shade with white pearl. Great pink shade for everyday.

All of the lipsticks come in the traditional MAC bullet packaging which I love the look of. Especially in my acrylic lipstick stand.

I love MAC lipstick and this collection as I kinda have one of every sort of nude shade.

L'Oreal Infallible Fixing Mist

Hi chappes,

Today I wanted to write about the L'Oreal Infallible Fixing Mist which I recently got from Boots. As my Urban Decay mini was running out so I thought perfect time to find a drugstore alternative.

I'm a big fan of L'Oreal as a brand and I love the infallible range. So i wanted to pick up the setting spray - which is great for 'just applied' makeup look - it states that it's 'anti-melt, anti-fade, anti-crack'.

I use this spray on days I want my makeup to last a bit longer or on days that my makeup look a bit cakey.
One thing I've learnt with this setting sprays to shake it a lot - the first time I didn't spray it it left white residue on my face. And the fine mist is great at keeping your makeup on all day - it kept my makeup on for over 16 hours and very limited makeup come off.
I would highly recommend this as a drugstore setting spray perfect for event season.

Hope you like this post.
