October Favourites 2016

Today I wanted share my October Favourites - this year as gone soo quickly i can't believe its already the end of October!!

Beauty Favourites

NYX Soft Matte Cream in Cannes - I love the formula and colour of this - highly recommend.

Tanya Burr pigment in Creme Brûlée - this was in her advent calendar last year and I love it. Its the perfect copper shade for me.

Rimmel lipstick in 107 - I wore this at a Halloween party the other day and I feel back in love with it. Its so pigmented and perfect for this time of the year.

Other Favourites 

'Shout Out TO My EX' by Little Mix - I have love this song this month well all of Little Mix's songs I have been playing on repeat for the majority of the month.

Hollyoaks- this is a continual favourite but this month especially due to the Cancer storyline and the Spook-tacluar storyline with Nico is amazing. I would high recommend watching them. E4

Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturising Lotion Review

Hi chappes,

Today I wanted to write about Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturising Lotion mini I got.

I love this moisturiser especially in the winter due my skin getting rather dry because of the cold. But this is a very moisturising moisturiser and makes your skin feel so soft. As well as it creates  the perfect makeup base as makeup would not cling in any dry patches.

This was the first high end skincare product I have tried and I love it- so I can't wait to try some more.

NYX Lingerie Lipstick in 'Bedtime Flirt'

Hi chappes,

Today I wanted to write about the NYX Lingerie Lipstick in 'Bedtime Flirt'. This is the second lipstick i have picked up from the Lingerie range- the other one I have purchased was 'Push Up'.

Bedtime Flirt is a gorgeous nude pinky shade which if you have been reading my blog for a while would know that I love pink nude lipsticks! But its the perfect everyday pink shade X

I love the formula- its a liquid lipstick but it isn't drying at all. And its very long lasting and wears really well - doesn't go patchy.

The applicator makes it really easy to able and the packaging is so nice and i love that you can see the colour from the bottle.

I would highly recommend the NYX Lingerie Lipstick range.

Zoella Beauty Hand Creams Review

Hi chappes,

Firstly THANK YOU SOO MUCH FOR 400 FOLLOWERS. And today's post I wanted to write about Zoella's hand creams. Zoe has brought out 2 hand creams - one in the original scent and the other in the Christmas Gingerbread scent.

I love the packaging of both of them - the tube looks fairly similar with the rose gold/cooper at the top and at the bottom. But Hungry Hands looks much more Christmasy and Autumnal. Winder Hand goes much with the rest of the Original scent. I love the smell of both of them - I would highly recommend them both.

Wonder Hand is enriched with Vitamin E, Shea Butter and Aloe which makes your hands feel really soft for a long time.

Hungry Hands also has a simple formula but is more heavenly scented with gingerbread and warm vanilla.

The packaging does show the procession of Zoe's products - I do love them both but the Gingerbread packaging is much more luxurious and sophisticated. 

I would highly recommend these hand creams and the rest of Zoella's range.

NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in 'Cannes' Review

Hi chappes,

Today I wanted to write a review on NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in 'Cannes' which you may have seen in my October Beauty Haul. But as I have had it for a bit of time I thought it would be the perfect time to write a review.

This was the first NYX soft matte cream I have ever tried and I will definitely be picking up a few more when I next see a NYX counter. As I really like the formula as its not drying at all, feels really light on the lips and is really long wearing. And it does a slight candy smell which is quite nice. 

 I love that the Soft Matte Lip Creams are all named after places.

I chose 'Cannes' has it seem my 'your lips but better' shade - so perfect for everyday and school. Its a pinky nude that I think would be great for most skin tones.

I would highly recommend it and can't wait to try more from the range.

Tanya Burr's Sunday Cake Recipe

Hi chappes,

Today I wanted to share a recipe with you which is Tanya Burr's Sunday Cake Recipe. I know its not Sunday but its a great cake for anytime of the week. And i have decorated it slightly different to hers so i wanted to share what I used. And just to warn you this cake does use a lot of chocolate! X

Ingredients: 

170g unsalted butter

170g caster sugar

3 eggs

140g self-raising flour

30g cocoa powder

1 1/2 tsp baking powder

For the Butter Icing:

90g Butter

170g icing sugar

cocoa powder, to taste

For the toppings;

200g milk chocolate

My decorations;

3 packets of chocolate fingers

1 packet of mixed buttons

1 box of maltesers 

Method:

. Preheat the oven to 180C. Line the baking sheets

. Mix all the cake ingredients until combined

. Bake for 18-20 minutes and leave to cool

. For the butter icing, mix all the ingredients together till smooth and once the cake is cooled spread the icing over one cake and sandwich them together.

. For the topping - melt the milk chocolate and spread it all around the cake.

. I decorated it by creating button flowers- by placing a malteser n the middle and surrounding it by buttons. Then covered the circumference of the cake with the chocolate fingers. But you can decorate by whatever you like X

. And enjoy!!

My 3 Favourite Winter Fragrances

Today I wanted to share my 3 favourite winter fragrances as who doesn't love perfumes and fragrances.

1. Zoella Bake My Day Fragrance - Unfortunately my mum has put it away for my Birthday but I love this scent and is perfect for this time of year.

2.Thousands Wishes from Bath and Body Works - OH MY this smells so good. It smells so nice and fresh and its perfect for every season but especially for the autumn/winter time.

3. Nina Ricci Nina L'Eau Eau de Toilette 30ml- this was my first proper perfume. Its a everyday spray and smell so good. I also love the bottle which is a baby pink apple. And it perfect for winter X

Natural Lip with Essence products

Hi chappes,

Today I wanted to write about  a natural lip look I love which uses  Essence Lipstick in Natural Beauty and Essence XXL Lip Gloss. Essence is a very affordable brand which I found in my local Wilko store. 

The Essence lipstick is a pink, brown neutral shade with a satin finish. Its quite long wearing and its ONLY £2.29!! The packaging is so cute with the matte black and then the colour of the lipstick as a band.

I got the XXL Lip Gloss in clear or (01 pure chic) so it doesn't add any colour on top of the lipstick. The lip gloss makes your lips look slightly larger and more plump. And this is £1.79 again CRAZY! I do love having a clear lip gloss in my collection as you can make any lipstick have a glossy finish.

So overall this is a very affordable lip combo to create a lovely natural - your lips but better look. And I would highly recommend this brand and these products.

My Favourite A/W Picks From New Look

Hi chappes,

I do have to admit that 85% of my clothes come from New Look and today I wanted share some of my favourite links from the New Look website.

Clothing 

Black Cord Dress - I not really wear dress but I love this. It goes with basically everything and really easy to dress up 

White Check Turtle Neck Jumper- I am a big fan of high necked cosy jumpers and it does say it was in Elle magazine which is a bonus.

Grey Forever Rose Embroidered Crop Top- Embroidered things seems very in this season. And this is a very cute everyday tee which goes perfect with high waisted jeans

Accessories

Black Chain Satchel Bag- I love this bag and it looks like a dupe to  the Chloe Faye satchel.

Collection Sheer Loose Powder

Hi chappes,

Today I wanted a review about the Collection Sheer Loose Powder.

This was the first loose powder I have ever tried- and I had hear a lot of good things about loose powders especially the Laura Mercier one but can't afford it. 

I picked up the translucent one i do have to admit it does make my skin look orange but to be honest its probably my application. As i'm not used to apply loose powders. The powder does make your foundation and concealer stay on all day which is good.

It would be very useful if you commented how you apply loose powder and recommend your favourite.

The packaging is quite compact with a screw lid which does make it hard for any product to fall out. Which is great for travel as powder would go all over your makeup bag.

And I would recommend this powder to people looking for a drugstore loose powder.

Cosmopolitan Magazine Issue November 2016

Hi chappes,

Today I wanted to write a review about Cosmopolitan magazine November 2016 issue. 

I do have to admit one of the reasons I picked up this issue was that Zoe was on of the front and she had a 6 page article. I do have to admit I am proud of Zoe as I remember when her first front cover in the company magazine. Now she is on the front cover of Cosmopolitan one of the biggest magazine in the UK. CRAZY!!! 

And all of Zoes photos are amazing and I love her article and its great that she announced Zoe and Joe are releasing merch which will hopefully be in the near future.

But I also love the Cosmopolitan magazine as its only £1 and has some great content and pictures. 

I would highly recommend this magazine if you love fashion images, articles about celebrities, makeup and fashion. The magazine is perfect as a coffee table read or a bed time read

Biscoff Cake Recipe

Hi chappes,

As it's the weekend I wanted to share a cake recipe with you. It's based on one Zoe did in her vlog which was from Jane's Patisserie blog - its a Biscoff Cake. However this one is only 2 tiered as my Mum and I can't eat a 3 tiered cake by ourself - 2 is much more manageable. 

Ingredients:

Cake

200g unsalted butter

200g light brown sugar

200g eggs (around 4 medium eggs)

200g self raising flour

1 tsp baking powder

2 tbsp milk

Icing:

125g Icing Sugar

75g Butter

1 1/2 tbsp Smooth Biscoff

1 tbsp Crunchy Bisoff (you don't have to add this - but its adds texture to the icing)

Decoration:

Biscoff Biscuits

Icing Sugar

Method:

1. Preheat oven to 180C

2. Cream together the butter and sugar oil creamy and smooth

3. Add the eggs, flour and baking powder to the butter and sugar and mix till combined.

4. If the mixture looks slightly dry add a splash of mix

5. Bake in 2 greased- sandwich tins for 20 - 25 mins or until golden brown on top and if poked with a skewer comes out clean. And leave them to cool

6. Whilst the cake are cooling make the icing - place the icing sugar and butter in a bowl and mix til smooth

7. Add the biscoff to the icing til combined - add a splash of milk if its too thick for piping.

8. When the cakes are cool- spread 3/4 of the icing on top of one cake to create a flat layer for the other cake to sit on. 

9. Place the other cake on top of the icing and place the other 1/4 of icing in a piping bag and pipe 6 blops around the edge of the cake and one in the middle.

10. To finish off place 1/2 a biscoff in edge blop on top- sprinkle with icing sugar. And ENJOY!

Seventeen Skin WOW Concealer

Hi chappes,

Today I want to write a review on Seventeen WOW Concealer which is a lovely brightening concealer.



The packaging is really nice with the gold packing and white  and it looks a bit like the YSL Touché Eclat Concealer. I do like the applicator of the product as its a brush applicator but it can be slightly annoying as it cakes with product. As well as it has a click thing at the botton which brings product though the applicator but its very easy to apply too much product.
The concealer is perfect for under the eye and it definitely brightens underneath your eyes. And it doesn't crease on transfer through out the day.

I would highly recommend this concealer and its only £4.99-amazing.

Blogoshere Magazine Issue 10 Review

Hi chappes,

Today I wanted to write a review on Blogosphere Magazine 10th Issue. This was actually the first Blogosphere magazine I have ever purchase and read. 

I was really excited for this issue as for one it had IntheFrow on the front who is one of my favourite youtubers/bloggers, who has really inspired me. And second I have been taking part in Blogosphere chats on Twitter and I have really enjoyed them.

For a start Victoria looks beautiful in all the images and I love her interview. I really liked the way there split each part into sections for example beauty or food bloggers -then had a page for each blogger which was featured (I do have to admit that one of my blogging dreams would be to feature in this magazine!).

Another think which I found really interesting to read was the bit Dominic Smales who is manager of Gleam Futures, which is the management company of youtubers like Zoella and Tanya Burr, wrote about what a youtube/blogger needs to be to be signed by them which I found very interesting and I like how its not based on numbers.

I can't wait to see who's on the next cover of Blogosphere and i would highly recommend this magazine.

For the eyes I put Illuminated Bronze all the over the lid as a base. Then from the Iconic Palette I put the browny shade in the crease  and the copper shade on the lid.

Rimmel Kate Moss 08 Lipstick Review

Hi chappes,

Today I want to write a review on the Rimmel Kate Moss 08 lipstick. I have written reviews on a few Kate Moss lipstick already but never this one.

The lipstick is a nude (which is probably no surprise to most of you) but its a more a dark pinky nude. I love this lipstick at this time of year as it's slightly darker as well as great for pale skin.

You can tell I have used this lipstick a lot as its quite blunt and theres but much left in it- so sorry for the photo ;)

The formula is creamy and leaves a semi matte finish so it still has bit of a sheen - which is always nice. The Kate Moss lipsticks are too pigmented for the price and the it has the traditional Kate Moss lipstick packaging.

I would recommend this lipstick as a everyday nude or if you looking for a darkish pink nice.
