Comparing 5 Black Kohl Pencils

Hi chappes,

Today I wanted to compare 5 black kohl pencils I have got in my collection:
Rimmel Soft Kohl Pencil
Seventeen Black Kohl Pencil
Lancome Le Crayon Khôl in 01 Noir
Helen E Soft Black Pencil
Model Co Black Eye Pencil

Rimmel Soft Kohl Pencil
Packaging: 6/10
Colour: 7/10
Formula: 8/10

I'm a big fan of Rimmel and this kohl pencil doesn't disappoint. This has a lovely cream formula and opaque, so you don't have to press hard on your eye to get an intense colour. The packaging is quite basic and half the writing as come off. But its hard plastic so is very hard to break.

Seventeen Black Kohl Pencil
Packaging: 5/10
Colour: 8/10
Formula: 5/10

The colour of the pencil is very black which is good however the formula is quite chalky. The formula does smudge a bit and it can cause some fall out. The packaging isn't the best as it has a thin plastic lid which has broken so the pencil doesn't have must protection from breaking or getting product all my makeup storage or bag.

Lancome Le Crayon Khôl in 01 Noir
Packaging: 9/10
Colour: 8/10
Formula: 8/10

I received this is a Lance Christmas set and this is probably the best kohl pencil I have ever used - for a start the packaging is gorgeous with the gold cap and the gold writing. It has a creamy formula with a intense black colour. And it doesn't smudge or cause panda eyes.

Helen E Soft Black Pencil
Packaging: 7/10
Colour: 5/10
Formula: 7/10

I picked this up at The Clothes Show - which is the first place I have ever seen a Helen E stand. The packaging is quite nice - with durable plastic packaging and has silver writing that seem to not come off. It has the least intense colour which can be good for a natural look but if you want an intense black shade you can to put on a few layers on press quite hard on your eye which isn't very good.

Model Co Black Eye Pencil

Packaging: 8/10
Colour: 8/10
Formula: 8/10

This came free with a magazine and it was the first time I have ever seen or hear of a Model Co products. But I has a nice formula and an intense colour. The packaging is again very nice with the black and the white writing.

For a high end black kohl pencil I would recommend the Lancome Kohl Pencil and the drugstore one I would recommend is the Rimmel Sort Kohl Pencil.

I hope you like this post.

Please comment your favourite kohl pencil and please follow.

Lancome L'Absolu Rouge Lipstick

Hi chappes,

Today I wanted to write about my 'Lancome L'Absolu Rouge lipstick in shade 6' . I received this is, in a Lancome set last Christmas and  as its Christmas again I thought it would be the perfect time to write a review about this lipstick.

This was the first Lancome lipstick I have ever own and used, and I will definitely pick up another one.
As it was a set it was mini and the packaging is really cute and feels luxurious, which the gold tube and the lance iconic flower on the top.

The shade is gorgeous, its a nice pinky nude. With a lovely formula which glides on your lips and its quite long wearing. It leaves a lovely finish on the lip- a satin finish
The lipstick shape makes it really easy to apply so perfect for everyday throw on look.

Pixiwoo Presents Hollywood Icons DVD

Hi chappes,

Today I wanted to talk about Sam and Nic Chapman's film 'Pixiwoo Presents Hollywood Icons'. It arrived the other day and basically as  soon as it arrived I watched it.

I have always been a fan of Pixiwoo since I started watching Youtube over 3 years ago so when they said they were producing a film - it was pre ordered. When it arrived I was literally jumping up and down as I have been waiting for over 2 months since I pre ordered it.

I love this film, the film is about the makeup looks of Hollywood stars like Marilyn Monroe and Audrey Hephurn.
Sam and Nic go to LA and they look at the history of all the 8 ladies. And the price these ladies had to pay to create these iconic looks - whether it was being controlled by their managers or people editing the way you look.
At the end of each women they create a makeup look based on their look- which is really easy to create. Like Josephine Baker smokey eye and dark lip and the iconic Audrey Hephurn natural look.
I love the ending scenes - Sam and Nic look so pretty in the back drop of St Paul's Cathedral.

This DVD also comes with a blush brush which is gorgeous and a perfect addition to my makeup brush collection. And the pattern on the brush links in with the packaging of the DVD.

Every person in this DVD to me is inspiring - all the Hollywood Icons as well as Pixiwoo. And I learnt loads for this DVD and i would definitely watch it again.

I would highly recommend this DVD if you can find it.

Seventeen Instant Glow Shimmer Brick in 'Pink Bronze'

Hi chappes,

Today I wanted to write about the Seventeen Instant Glow Shimmer Brick in 'Pink Bronze' as I mentioned it in 'My Favourite 5 Seventeen Products ' and people seemed to like it . So I wanted to write a full review on it.

I love this as a highlighter as it adds some sparkly without looking over the top. It adds a really nice highlight on the cheekbones, down the centre of the one and on the brow.
It comes with some white, pinky and bronze shades so I have used the bronze shade on as a eyeshadow.
Personally I wouldn't use this as a blush on bronzer but is the perfect highlight.
The packaging is really nice and compact so perfect for travel, however it is made of plastic so will be prone to cracking.

I would recommend this product and is only £4.99 - so affordable.

Hope you like this post.

So Susan Lip Dome in Blackcurrant

Hi chappes,

Today I wanted to write about So Susan Lip Dome in Blackcurrant . Which I picked up a while ago at the Birmingham's Clothes Show and I wanted to share with you.

'So Susan Lip Dome in Blackcurrant' is a lovely plum colour so perfect for this time of year. It's gorgeous colour and the formula is really nice. I thought I would share it with you as So Susan isn't the most well known brand.

The packaging is really cute and it shows the colour of the lip dome. The lip dome is good but it can be hard to don't go out of your lip line. But it is a really nice shade and I would highly recommend it .

Hope you like this post.

Tanya Burr Cosmetic Cheek Illuminator in Forever Summer

Hi chappes,

Today I wanted to talk about Tanya Burr cosmetics Cheek Illuminator in Forever Summer, I'm a bog fan of Tanya Burr cosmetics and I have never brought a highlighter before so i thought I would pick this one up.

For a start look at that rose gold, cooper packaging - it's so pretty. Saying that it was soo hard to take a photo of as it mirrors  everything. But it is completely gorgeous and it looks and feels rather expensive.

Forever Summer is a gorgeous natural highlight- this is before blend it. It adds a lovely pinky pearly highlight to your cheek bones. The  formula is really nice and creamy and blends well.
I like to apply some of the product on my finger and blend it using my finger - this makes sure that none of my foundation comes off.

I'm really like I purchased this as my first highlighter as its really nice and natural and perfect for everyday.

Hope you like this post.

Rimmel Scandaleyes Reloaded Mascara

Hi chappes,

Today I wanted to talk about the Rimmel Scandaleyes Reloaded Mascara - which I've been using recently.

I picked up as Tanya Burr featured it in her favourites as well as the advert which featured Cara Delevingne. And it the mascara looked really nice one both of them.

It's a nice mascara - it adds volume and length without looking clumpy. I do have to admit its not my favourite mascara its definitely Maybelline Lash Sensational.
But i do like the rimmel mascara for everyday and you can built it up to full lashes.
The brush is really big so is really useful for creating full, long lashes.

The bright colour of the packaging is quite nice as you can sticks out in your makeup drawers so you know automatically when you see orange its the Rimmel Scandaleyes Reloaded Mascara.

But overall I would highly recommend this mascara.

MaxFactor 'Rosewood' Lipstick Review

Hi chappes,

This is my first MaxFactor lipstick I ever owned and this one is called 'Rosewood' and yes I picked it up because Rosewood in the place in Pretty Little Liars which is on of my favourite shows.
But the colour is a lovely pinky, berry nude so perfect for these time of year. Its a creamy finish with a slight shine - the formula is really nice so I would love to try more for the range.

The packaging is really cute and gold with the shade on the end. So is great if you have drawers so it shows the colour and name without picking it up.

Nivea 3 in 1 Gentle Cleansing Wipes Review

Hi chappes,

Today I wanted to write about the Nivea 3 in 1 Gentle Cleansing Wipes which I use on a tired day instead of a full skincare routine.

The facial wipes are enriched with natural almond oil and they state it
~ removes makeup including waterproof mascara,
~ cleanses gently, moistursies and pampers the skin
~ and the caring formula is gentle for dry skin.

I picked these facial wipes as in winter I do get a dry face so I thought these would be perfect. I do really like these wipes, they take your makeup off really easy without rubbing. They do kinda of help with dry skin- it has improve it as it moisturises your skin. And makes your skin feel really soft and clean which is great after a long day with a full face of makeup.

I would highly recommend this wipes.

Vanity Fair Magazine December 2016

Hi chappes,

Today I wanted to write about this months issue of Vanity Fair. This was the first Vanity Fair issue i have ever read - i thought it was only sold in the USA (not sure why), but as soon as I saw it in M&S I picked it up.

Overall I was really impressed with the magazine and definitely pick up a copy of Vanity Fair again
For a start Adele is on the front cover, who is one of my favourite artists and one of my role models. And I was lucky enough to attend concert in March. I loved her article and she looked really pretty in the photos.
The magazine came with a card with the Si by Giorgio Armani perfume - OMG this perfume smells soo good. Definitely want to pick up a full bottle soon.

I do have to admit they were quite a lot of adverts but thats normal in fashion magazines.

Hope you like this post.

Rimmel Magnif'eyes Eyeshadow Palette Keep Calm & Wear Gold Review

Hi chappes,

Today I wanted to write about the Rimmel Magnif'eyes Eyeshadow Palette Keep Calm & Wear Gold. I love Rimmel- its probably my favourite drugstore brand and so when I saw this is Boots I had to pick it up.

I am a big fan of gold, copper shades so this is the perfect palette. It's a 8-pan palette with duo applicator and integrated mirror for smart on-the-go travel format. So I love how compact it is.

I do have to admit the lighter shades weren't as pigmented as I wanted but they still all gorgeous shades and really blendable. It was 2 lighter colours - one perfect for highlighter, 3 lid colours and 3 crease colours. It can create a range of looks - everyday looks or darker smokey look.

I would recommend if you are looking for a compact palette, or a starter eye shadow palette.

Hope you like this post.
